I Created the Myth of the Old Ones

After transmigrating to a parallel world, Lu Ban only wants to make a few movies and earn some money. Instead, he awakens a system that rewards him for completing missions.

Awesome!

Wait. Look under my bed at midnight? Piano music in a theater abandoned for twenty years? A painter at an art exhibition has gone missing? As Lu Ban completes these missions, he realizes something: this world really seems to have ghosts!

Something is wrong with this system.

He discovers that the system not only sends him into all sorts of forbidden places to tempt fate, but also records every one of his death-defying escapades as video footage. Later, it even throws Lu Ban straight into indescribable otherworlds!

"Huh? If I edit all this footage into movies, wouldn't they be the best horror films ever?"

Gradually, Lu Ban begins to understand everything.

And so, across those otherworldly realms, legends of the Great Old Ones and unspeakable horrors begin to spread.
