Yes.
The next second, the Dagger in 'Lin Qi's backpack appeared in his hand.
Ryan froze.
"So it really is game equipment."
But a Dagger did not seem all that useful, and judging by the stats, he probably could not even compare to 'Lin Qi' right now.
Ryan pressed the controller, re-equipped the Dagger on 'Lin Qi,' then opened the door and walked out.
The dormitory corridor was empty at night, yet faint whispers seemed to drift through the air.
As the god worshipped by religious believers across the Rhea Continent, Janus was said to have created time and space before everything else came into being. As a result, Janus held an exceptionally high status on the continent.
The religion that worshipped Janus was called the Gate of Janus, the largest religious force on the Rhea Continent.
The church in Berman City worshipped Janus as well. It was not particularly large, with two Priests, ten Nuns, and several ordinary staff members.
The dormitory building stood behind the church. Since there was a Cemetery right next door, the place often felt gloomy and sinister.
At this hour, most people were already asleep. 'Lin Qi' crossed the corridor, went downstairs, and arrived in front of the Cemetery.
He had seen some unidentified creatures floating around here through the window earlier. In reality, Ryan would have run as far away as possible, but in a game, weren't ghosts and monsters just piles of Experience Points?
Wandering Soul
Those small bluish flames all had those two words above their heads, along with a uniform lv3.
Ryan smiled.
"Sure enough, this is a game. Where would you find something like this in reality?"
It was not as though he had never been to the church before. The Cemetery was perfectly normal. If there had been even the slightest hint of demons or ghosts, word would have spread long ago.
'Lin Qi' said nothing. She gripped the Dagger and charged forward. With a swift slash, the Dagger cut through the Wandering Soul's body, and the health bar above it immediately dropped by around a fifth.
"Not bad. Its defense isn't very high."
The Wandering Soul counterattacked. It had no limbs, instead firing small clumps of flame, but Ryan controlled 'Lin Qi' and dodged every one of them.
Rolling, circling, lowering her body and dashing forward—the movements felt like a real-life experience. Ryan was utterly stunned.
"The controls are way better than games from my previous life."
Before long, 'Lin Qi' killed a Wandering Soul, and her Experience Bar surged by around a quarter.
"Keep going, keep going!"
Moonlit night, Cemetery, Nun and Dagger, a splendid waltz.
