Background / History

Magana initially operates through subordinates such as Adler, who reports to her on his efforts to cultivate Ryan as an infiltrator within the Burning Covenant. She regards Ryan as a potentially useful asset and intends to address the Burning Covenant herself in the future. 23

After Ryan becomes involved in Berman City’s power struggle, Magana places him in charge of matters there and supplies him with resources and military protection. She dispatches Gruk and six other Transcendents to obey Ryan, then prepares and sends Iron Blood Legion troops when Kainter’s siege becomes imminent. 45 48 50 Her legion routs the Kainter army and establishes a camp outside Berman City, publicly displaying her interest in the city and creating a rivalry with Caslathdi. 55
