Important Notice: Asking for Votes at the Start of the Month and April Bonus Updates
[Important Notice] Request for votes at the beginning of the month and extra chapters in April.
March has passed in the blink of an eye.
As of now, in March 2023, Lao Tian has updated a total of 300,000 words, and the backlog of updates from February has been fully paid off.
The book has reached 1.34 million words, and according to the plan, it has progressed to about a quarter of the way. The main world view has been developed, and the next step is to continuously improve and refine it.
As I've written this far, I've also realized that the "Sneaky Path" style is really difficult to write because there are many things that can't be written under the "Sneaky" tone. If I did, the protagonist's personality and character would collapse.
Writing about daily life wouldn't be suitable for a novel about leveling up and having fun.
I can't keep writing about farming, and besides, it's not easy to write about it.
Lao Tian's kind of stat-adding or panel-based novels with an extreme style, whether it's a wizarding novel or other Mystical Fantasy novels, easily lead to the habit of "when in doubt, the protagonist adds stat points," and then unknowingly, the protagonist's combat power collapses, making the story unreadable.
Writing a book is really difficult, but isn't that how it is with everything? (Lao Tian sighs)
Three months before this book went on sale, Lao Tian, working part-time without a detailed outline, buried himself in writing tens of thousands to a million words a day, and has continued to this day.
Many drawbacks began to emerge, and this month they began to erupt in a concentrated manner. Previously, Lao Tian rarely experienced writer's block, but this month, he experienced it many times in a row, each time causing him great pain. In order to ensure the book could be completed well, after careful consideration, Lao Tian resigned from his job a few days ago and became an independent lawyer, no longer receiving a salary. This way, Lao Tian could calm down and study the plot, setting, world view, and polish the book.
Starting in April, since I should have more time, Lao Tian 'll improve the quality of updates without reducing the word count. I'll go through the entire book from beginning to end, sort out the future plot and settings, and learn how to write interesting plots and characters.
Before, writing books was just a part-time job, Lao Tian now it's a full-time job. My only goal now is to finish this book according to the established plan, and I will do my best to achieve it.
Of course, Lao Tian's abilities are limited, and it's impossible to please everyone. If you're not satisfied with the results Lao Tian presents, it's because of Lao Tian's abilities, not his attitude. Please be gentle with your criticism.
I can't guarantee Lao Tian else, but I'm certain Lao Tian have a clear conscience when it comes to my attitude towards writing this book.
Lao Tian's own update plan is to reach 3.5 million words by December 31, 2023, and then finish writing the book next year. During the serialization of this book, the average daily word count will not be less than 8,000 words per month.
In addition, Lao Tian may try to update twice a day in the future (I guarantee that the number of words updated every day will definitely not be less!).
Aim to keep the points earned per chapter between 20 and 30 Qidian coins. Writing long chapters of 8,000 or 10,000 words can easily discourage many readers who are unfamiliar with Qidian's pricing structure.
Although I've said many times that the cost of each chapter is related to the number of words updated, and there's no issue of expensive or cheap, since the book started, a lot of readers still question me about why each chapter is so expensive (Lao Tian is helpless).
Finally, and most importantly.
In April, Lao Tian wants to climb the monthly ticket ranking and see what it's like at the top. So, I'm asking for votes today, April 1st. Besides the chapter I updated at midnight, there will be another update of at least 8,000 words tomorrow during the day. Otherwise, Lao Tian be too embarrassed to ask for votes. (Of course, time is limited. I definitely won't be able to write the second chapter before noon tomorrow, so please don't wait for Lao Tian then.)
This month, in order to climb the monthly ticket rankings, let's change Lao Tian's extra chapter rules:
1. If the number of monthly votes for today, April 1st, exceeds 3000, an extra 5 chapters with 15000 words will be added this month! 2. For every 500 additional monthly votes in April, an extra chapter with 3000 words will be added, with no upper limit!
In addition, the following updates were missed in March:
1. 12,000 monthly tickets, totaling 12 chapters and 36,000 words owed.
2. The Recommendation Ticket increased from 50,000 to 80,000, an increase of 30,000 votes. There are a total of 3 chapters and 9,000 words that are owed.
3. The average number of subscriptions increased from 13,000 to 14,000, an increase of 1,000 per day, resulting in a total shortfall of 5 chapters and 15,000 words.
Therefore, there are a total of 60,000 words owed in March. If the conditions for adding more chapters in April to boost the rankings are met, an extra chapter will be added on top of the 60,000 words.
Finally, thank you all for your continued support. I, Lao Tian, am deeply grateful.
