A Multitalented Cat

The battle erupted in an instant.

But unlike what the Starfire Cult had expected, they were the ones attacked first.

Almost the moment Troy finished speaking, two Starfire Cultists let out shrill screams. Their bodies were torn into several pieces out of thin air, as though they had been ripped apart alive by the claws of a beast.

What was happening?

The same stunned thought flashed through the minds of the Starfire Cultists.

Before they could figure it out, two more companions were sent flying into the air with a bang. Their bodies twisted into bizarre, unnatural arcs, accompanied by scalp-numbing cracks of shattering bones. After hitting the ground, they twitched once and fell silent.

Troy finally reacted, shouting in fury and alarm, "Something's invisible nearby! Stay on guard!"

Yet those words did nothing but incite panic among his subordinates.

They had no idea where the invisible enemy was, much less how to defend themselves or strike back. They could only watch helplessly as their companions were torn apart by attacks from nowhere, their tendons severed and bones broken, wailing miserably as they marched toward death.

In the span of three or four breaths, more than a dozen Starfire Cultists had been killed.

The rest were stricken with terror, their faces pale and their limbs trembling.

"Damn it!"

Troy gritted his teeth at the sight, then suddenly turned and charged at Sunan.

"Kill that guy first!"

Ryan also came to his senses. This bizarre scene had to be Sunan's doing.

Knowing it had been spotted, Hidden Dragon no longer concealed itself. It revealed its form directly, widening its eyes as it looked Amy up and down.

Amy's fur instantly stood on end, and she darted behind Sunan.

"Meow, don't eat me! Amy doesn't taste good!"

Sunan froze. In that instant just now, he had indeed sensed a thought from Hidden Dragon through the Magic Pet contract: This cat looks delicious.

"You can sense the thoughts of other creatures?"

Amy curled herself up and said, "Not exactly, meow. But I can sense other people's malice toward me."

It actually had that ability?

Sunan suddenly understood.
