Screech!
The sword blades, infused with battle aura, tore through the air, setting off piercing sonic booms!
In the blink of an eye, Sunan found himself trapped in the deadly peril of a pincer attack.
Yet there was not a trace of panic on his face. His right hand shot out like lightning and seized the sword blade slashing in from his right.
With a dull thud, the blade seemed to strike tough leather. The battle aura's radiance clashed fiercely with a yellow glow, but it could not break through.
Meanwhile, the longsword coming from the left was also blocked by an invisible shield, unable to advance even an inch.
The fierce attacks the two Grand Knights had prepared for so long were effortlessly defused.
"Are the remaining two priests both here? Good. I'll deal with them together."
Sunan straightened up and swept an indifferent gaze over the two men.
Still reeling from shock, the two priests saw that their enemy clearly did not take them seriously. Instantly enraged, they shouted and charged at him again.
Without hesitation, Sunan flung out two Rune Gems. Blazing flames and dazzling lightning erupted at once, surging forward like snarling dragons and instantly engulfing the two men.
After a deafening roar, two more corpses lay on the ground.
"Meow, Sunan, you're amazing!" Amy cheered from the side.
Though the little one was innocent, it seemed utterly unfazed by the bloody scene of death. Its previous owner had probably spilled quite a bit of blood as well.
After the two priests were dealt with, the remaining Starfire Cult members seemed frightened. No one else dared step forward to stop Sunan.
Empowered by Wind Energy Particles, he sprinted all the way. After a dozen breaths or so, man and cat arrived at the main building deep within the estate.
"The stuff is on the second floor!" Amy pointed her chubby paw at the room in the middle of the second floor.
Sunan leaped high from where he stood, smashed through the window into the room, then, following Amy's guidance, blasted through a wall and found a secret chamber.
The room was empty, containing only a stone platform and three chests.
On the stone platform lay the God Blood Amber he had been looking for.
There were twenty-four pieces in total!
Sunan accepted every last one without ceremony.
Including the ones from before, he now had twenty-six pieces of God Blood Amber.
When Sunan opened the other three chests, his eyes lit up even more.
Glittering Gold Coins!
All three chests were filled with Gold Coins, at least two thousand by rough estimate!
"I didn't expect these people to be so wealthy."
Sunan remarked before sweeping all the Gold Coins into the Magic Cube as well.
Once he was done, he quickly left the main building and raced toward the estate's exit.
Not long ago, Hidden Dragon had sent word that the three people pursuing it seemed to have realized something was wrong and were heading back toward the estate.
Unfortunately for them, they were destined to be too late.
Sunan rushed out of the estate without slowing down, vanishing into the night in the blink of an eye.
Not long afterward, three figures stormed into the estate and headed straight for the main building.
When Kasper saw the secret chamber that had been emptied out, his vision nearly went black.
"Damn thief! Bastard!"
Coming back to his senses, the furious Kasper slashed the nearby desk apart with one stroke.
The two priests behind him lowered their heads in terrified silence, not daring to say a word for fear of provoking him.
Just then, a Starfire Cult member rushed in and said in panic, "High Priest, this is bad! We found the bodies of Priest Braun and Priest Lori by the warehouse."
Before he could finish, Kasper flashed in front of him, grabbed his collar, and demanded with a livid expression, "What about the underground warehouse? Has anything happened there?"
Startled, the cult member stammered, "T-the two priests' bodies were right in front of the underground warehouse entrance. Everything in the warehouse has been moved out."
"A bunch of useless trash!"
Before the cult member could finish, Kasper, enraged beyond measure, slammed a palm into his forehead.
The unfortunate man did not even have time to groan before dying instantly.
"Damn it, I'll find you!"
Kasper's furious roar carried far into the night.
While Kasper raged helplessly, Sunan had already returned silently to his room at the inn.
At the same time, Hidden Dragon returned to the area near the inn and found a place to hide on its own.
After checking the room and confirming that no one had entered while he was gone, Sunan sat down and took out all the spoils he had acquired tonight.
Looking at the more than twenty pieces of God Blood Amber on the table, Sunan was filled with delight.
He opened the Magic Cube and placed the God Blood Amber inside one piece at a time, staring intently at the information on the synthesis interface.
After placing six pieces of God Blood Amber in a row, the information on the synthesis interface finally changed noticeably.
God Blood Amber. God blood content: 0.4 milliliters. Carrying it can greatly increase the attraction of Energy Particles. It has low Mental Pollution. Long-term close contact will alter thought and cognition, causing faith in the source of the god blood.
Compared to before, the description of its attraction to Energy Particles had gained the word "greatly," while the Mental Pollution had also been significantly reduced.
Overjoyed, Sunan placed all the remaining God Blood Amber into the Magic Cube at once. The information on the synthesis interface changed noticeably again.
God Blood Amber. God blood content: 1.3 milliliters. Upon contact with air, it attracts free Energy Particles and forms a high-concentration energy zone. Those within the zone may experience mild auditory hallucinations and visual hallucinations. Immune if Spirit Power reaches 18 or above.
"Success!"
Joy surged through Sunan's heart.
The side effects of Mental Pollution had completely vanished from the synthesized God Blood Amber, leaving only the minor side effects of auditory and visual hallucinations.
Sunan guessed they were the prayers he had heard before and the magnificent hall he had seen.
But as long as there was no Mental Pollution, a few mild auditory and visual hallucinations were perfectly acceptable.
Besides, once his Spirit Power reached 18 or above, even those side effects could be ignored.
Compared to the original God Blood Amber, the final synthesized product was undoubtedly far superior.
Without hesitation, Sunan decisively chose to synthesize it.
The instant he took the synthesized God Blood Amber out of the Magic Cube, he clearly felt the free Energy Particles in the surrounding air rapidly gather around it, forming a dense Energy Particle zone with a radius of about two meters centered on the God Blood Amber.
Bathed in the dense Energy Particles, Sunan felt his mind become clearer and more active than ever before.
Even without actively absorbing them, quite a few Energy Particles had already entered his body and the depths of his Sea of Consciousness, strengthening his body while filling his Star Ring.
"Meditating under these conditions should be at least two or three times as efficient as before—perhaps even more!"
Intense joy surged through Sunan's chest.
The synthesized product was far more effective than he had expected!
With the God Blood Amber, the time needed for him to advance to a Level Three Wizard Apprentice could be cut by at least half!
This trip to Stone Bell City had been worth it for the God Blood Amber alone!
"Meow, what's going on? Why are all the Energy Particles running over to your side?"
Amy quickly noticed the strange phenomenon around Sunan as well. It jumped up from the table in surprise and stared blankly at the God Blood Amber in his hand.
"That God Blood Amber is strange. Why does it seem different somehow?"
"I made a few small modifications to it."
Since it involved his own secret, Sunan did not explain much. He gave a vague answer, put away the God Blood Amber, and turned his attention to the things on the table.
The items left behind by Amy's mysterious owner were mostly books or Magical Items.
He had already given the books a cursory look. As for the Magical Items, time had been tight before, and he had not had the chance to appraise them carefully. Now that he had the leisure, he picked them up one by one and examined them closely.
