"What happened?"

Devon was shocked and furious. He summoned his adjutant and demanded an explanation.

But the adjutant looked equally bewildered.

"My lord, I don't know either. Those soldiers suddenly went flying!"

"Useless trash!"

Devon's face darkened. Unable to spare another moment to berate his adjutant, he turned his horse around, intending to investigate personally.

But the next instant, he stopped.

The disturbance in the distance was spreading toward them.

Only when it drew closer did Devon make out what was happening.

It was as though an invisible beast was charging wildly through the crowd toward them. Every soldier in its path was sent flying, their tendons torn and bones broken.

From high above, one could clearly see that the densely packed crowd had been forcibly plowed into a horrifying trail of blood, steadily extending toward the three men's location!

Devon and the other two turned pale at once.

"Stop it!" Devon practically roared the order.

Yet faced with an invisible enemy, the soldiers had no way to intercept it. They could only use their flesh and blood to block its path, only to be flung away the next second. Some were even torn into several pieces on the spot, blood spraying everywhere.

The bloody scene deepened the fear on the surrounding soldiers' faces.

After dozens of soldiers died without even knowing why, the rest finally broke down, screaming in terror as they fled in all directions.

"Deserters die!"

Devon cut down a fleeing soldier who ran about like a headless fly and shouted harshly.

Unfortunately, this did nothing to stop soldiers whose minds had been overwhelmed by terror.

Only a few knights remained in front of the three lords, gritting their teeth.
