Inside Lilith's Cottage, Locke opened his eyes, his mind returning to his current physical body.

Howard the Vampire, standing nearby, was instantly startled upon hearing this, acting as if he were surprised that such a term could come from the mouth of Locke, who was a White Wizard.
He said to Locke, "Master, the Sixfold Curse Barrier is a special barrier that only Curse Masters at our First Ring level can create."
"This is a foul barrier, a special barrier capable of tainting all energy inside it. For example, if a portion of Wood Element energy enters this barrier, corresponding curse energy will combine with it. And the Sixfold Curse Barrier has six different portions of curse energy combining with it. This causes all White Wizards who enter it to be unable to cast even a single spell."
"Moreover, it can prevent White Wizards' spells from penetrating into our Sixfold Curse Barrier."
Howard seemed to believe that because Locke had planted a certain type of magic inside his body, he was already considered Locke's slave. Therefore, at that moment, he spoke of everything he knew without reservation. Gone was the teeth-gnashing hatred he had previously shown when facing an enemy; instead, he was more like a dog wagging its tail eagerly.
