Chapter 278: Obtaining an Advancement Potion

Following Harlan Vela's earlier instructions, Locke arrived at the edge of the Academy's port city, where an Alchemy Cabin stood with a crucible for a roof. The crucible atop the cabin constantly vented steam.

As the steam rose above the Alchemy Cabin, it formed rain clouds, then turned into rain and fell back down into the crucible.

This ensured that the potion liquid inside the rooftop crucible remained at a certain volume for a long time.

Standing before the Alchemy Cabin, Locke took a light sniff and immediately raised his brows. "It seems to be some kind of potion that temporarily boosts Mana."

"It shouldn't be a single potion, but a mixture of more than a dozen types."

"And none of them are low-grade. Mixed potions are the domain of Formal Potion Masters, but this quantity is truly absurd. Is it some kind of ornament made using potion evaporation techniques combined with alchemical equipment? It seems to be more than just an ornament."

He looked up at the swimming-pool-sized crucible atop the Alchemy Cabin. It was filled with some kind of special potion.

Locke suspected that if a battle broke out nearby, the potions inside that crucible ornament would somehow come into play.

A slightly aged voice came from inside the Alchemy Cabin. "Please come in."

"This student, what brings you here?"

The door of the Alchemy Cabin opened, and an elderly witch in white wizard robes stepped out. Behind her were several crucibles mounted on iron stands, with all kinds of Magic Flames blazing beneath them.

Locke bowed to the witch. She was Claudia Forbes, one of Lilith's Cottage's seven senior advisors and one of its most formidable Potion Masters. Her representative work was the Pureblood Potion.
