Old Witch Forbes used a Potion Master's technique to atomize the contents of the cauldron in her Alchemy Cabin. She chuckled. "My little darlings, it's up to you now."
"Let those Black Wizards learn the power of Potion Masters!"
The massive cauldron atop the Alchemy Cabin boiled violently under Old Witch Forbes's Mana. It transformed into mist and rushed into the sky, then, before the Black Wizards overhead could react, turned into rain that scattered across the land and sea of Lilith's Cottage's port city.
At the same time, Francis recited an incantation and cast [Nature's Words] upon Locke.
After receiving Nature's Words' blessing, Locke, who was stationed at the control core of the barrier defense device, gained a special kind of linguistic knowledge. It seemed to reside within his instincts, granting him the ability to hold simple conversations with cats, dogs, flowers, grass, and trees.
Through the core crystal of the Large Life Barrier, Locke spoke with the entire ecology of Lilith's Cottage. "Plants, it's time to wake up."
Locke observed the ecology of Lilith's Cottage struggling slightly, yet there was still little response.
Locke frowned. Mosses and algae were increasing greatly in number, but their proportion was still far too small.
Moreover, the plants throughout the ecosystem still seemed to be in a bribed state, so natural selection was inclined to avoid action.
This land had already become cursed ground. Its life force was being suppressed.
And Locke could clearly feel the plants resisting him.
An idea struck Locke. He summoned the Forest Sanctuary to bless himself, transforming himself into a forest so that he could speak with Lilith's Cottage's forest as a forest himself.
"Wake up, forest."
"Forest, wake up now. Before the negative energy truly harms our foundations, awaken."
Locke paused and frowned. Had he failed?
