Chapter 327: Root Truth Institute
Locke asked in confusion, "Teacher Harlan, what other options were you referring to?"
Harlan Vela smiled. "It's not actually anything especially complicated. Once you become a Formal Wizard, there's no longer any concept of school or an academic system. Everything is work, and where there's work, there are always ways to be flexible."
"So, for example, if you haven't managed to apply for a teaching position you like for the time being, you can first do something else—something that improves your chances of getting that ideal position and strengthens your core competitiveness."
"Just as Witch Sophia once did."
Harlan Vela explained, "For example, you currently don't have official Potion Master certification or an Advanced Breeder certificate, nor have you obtained any qualifications related to Archaeology. But earning such certificates can demonstrate some of your core abilities."
"Beyond that, award-winning Magic Plant works and potion works can also become part of your core competitiveness. Association-level awards are best."
"The more advanced the Wizard Land, the less they value competitions held at the wizard academy level in the Southeastern Corner Region. But because of the White Wizard Association's laws, they still have to acknowledge competitions held at the White Wizard Association level on our side, at least to some extent."
"So, completing some major projects, winning some awards, and publishing Association-level S-class papers can all improve your core competitiveness."
"Then there's training outstanding students. For teaching-oriented positions in the Starfield Sea, that will give you a tremendous advantage."
"In short, every accomplishment you possess will eventually become leverage for securing greater resources."
Harlan Vela paused before saying, "Now for the important part—have you heard of the Root Truth Institute?"
Locke shook his head.
Harlan Vela rose, moved a stool in front of Locke, and said, "Please, sit."
