Many of the precision instruments were protected by magical wards cast by the Protection School, which immediately unfolded into magic barriers and shielded them.
Locke himself, meanwhile, deployed a Permanent Defense Field [Life Force Field], blocking all the corrosive liquid in front of him.
Locke raised his brows. "It failed again. The refinement of the Mastermind Control Potion is even more difficult than I imagined. I must have mishandled some part of the heat, causing a problem with the potion's properties. During the fusion reaction of the natural magic structural components, it underwent a corrosive transformation."
