Arc 6Curses and Contracts

Locke rescued Pierre and Lorne from the Blood Curse Court, captured Howard, and turned the Vampire into a valuable research subject. As he pursued income and investigated his bloodline, he treated another Magic Plant curse and negotiated a major Crystal Palmfire Lotus contract with Zack.

  • Locke and his colleagues weakened Ruixing’s cursed Tifro Rootvines with the Radiation Cauldron and replaced them with Super Mandrake Vines, lifting her curse.
  • Locke declined Zack’s invitation to develop a spell system for Crystal Palmfire Lotuses and warned his apprentices about the Blood Curse Court’s attacks.

  • Locke earned 50 contribution points for a B-Class article and studied Ancient Creature bloodlines while planning ways to increase his income and advance his research.
  • Locke, Aixi, and Anglu treated a patient whose Lightning Bamboo had fused with his arm, clearing most of the curse but failing to stop the plant from producing more.

Arc 7Perseus’s Eye Lichen

Locke passed the Formal Breeder examination, established a market for Memory Ointment, and used a surge of Magic Plant Curses to develop Perseus’s Eye Lichen. He finished the arc by creating two new curse-targeting potions and planned to test one on patients before seeking a production license.

  • Locke signed a contract with Anglu and Aixi to sell Memory Ointment through Owl Cauldron Potion Shop, then bought Beholder Potion and Fission Potion to strengthen his magic power.
  • Locke experimented with cursed plants and lichen, while his public dismissal of Seflin’s curse enraged her and led her to order more apprentices cursed.
  • Locke handled a growing number of Magic Plant Curse cases and used the attacks as experimental data while racing to finish a creation for the Custom Magic Plant Competition.
  • Locke grafted Super Mandrake Vine onto Emerald Iris Lichen and created Perseus’s Eye Lichen, which resisted and reflected curses.
  • Locke tested Perseus’s Eye against Vampire Howard, whose curse was reflected back and left him unable to fight, though the lichen suffered damage after several uses.
  • Locke brewed two versions of Bear Spirit Bile Potion and found that the Perseus’s Eye version destroyed cursed blood while the Emerald Iris version suppressed curses with less damage to the blood.
  • Locke named the improved potion Bear Spirit Emerald Gallbladder Potion and planned to test it on Magic Plant Curse patients before applying for a production license.
