As the three figures left the cave mansion, Han Yan lightly shifted her feet closer to Lin Fan's side and lowered her voice. "Brother Fan, should I..."
She did not finish, but her meaning was clear enough—whether she should withdraw for the moment so Lin Fan could speak alone with the Bloodlight Demon Saint who was about to arrive.
Lin Fan waved a hand, his expression calm and casual. "No need. Stay here."
Han Yan nodded slightly and said nothing more. She quietly took half a step back and returned to stand beside the stone wall on one side of the cave mansion.
Her posture stood straight as a pine, her hands folded before her, her gaze lowered. She was respectful without losing just the right measure of presence. A burner of calming incense was lit within the cave mansion, its wisps of green smoke curling around her and making her seem like an attendant from a painting.
Before long, a steady, powerful set of footsteps sounded outside the cave mansion. Neither hurried nor slow, every step landed solidly, faintly carrying the composure of one long accustomed to high rank.
A tall figure crossed through the stone doors of the cave mansion and entered.
