Ch. 122Pressure Eased Slightly

After gaining a Lesser Substitute Puppet from Wizard Bosco, Arro felt safer and began gathering materials for his experiments and Flame Longsword. He planned to finish his Personal Task and then study Metal Puppet crafting, Bosco’s specialty.

  • Arro reasoned that the Lesser Substitute Puppet showed his value to Wizard Bosco and eased his fears about Mother’s Wanted Poster.
  • Arro browsed Battle Corner Street for experiment supplies and materials for his Flame Longsword, but rejected a crystal plate the stall owner offered for fifty Magic Stones.
  • Arro planned to use silver to practice forging swords before seeking better blade materials.
  • Arro applied to search the Silent Forest for a suitable place to measure the speed of light and planned to finish his Personal Task before pursuing new studies.

Ch. 123Illusion Ghost Demon

Arro awoke to a haunting in his courtyard and fought the ghost with his newly acquired techniques. After he pierced it with an Abyss-powered spear, the ghost shrank into the eerie head and flew around the ruined room.

  • Arro returned to his courtyard exhausted and fell asleep while strange mist and eerie sounds began to appear.
  • A bloodied face startled Arro awake, and he unleashed Solar Fist before using Cat Form Fist to track the ghost’s sounds.
  • A pale young man in another courtyard sensed the Illusion Ghost Demon and hoped to retrieve it to win the competition.
  • Arro formed Black Flame Fire Phoenix armor with Magic Strike Technique and smashed through his bedroom door to confront the ghost.
  • The ghost attacked with a scythe, but Arro dodged, formed an Energy Spear, and pierced it with Blazing Sword Technique.
  • The ghost shrank into the eerie head and wailed as it flew around the ruined room.

Ch. 124Smash!

Arro destroyed the head-like Evil Creature with his Abyss Power, then defended himself from a young man’s Bone Spurs attack. The young man fell from the courtyard wall and called for Lord Pipit to save him.

  • Arro used Solar Fist to stun the Evil Creature, then struck it with the Blazing Sword Technique and coated it in Abyss Power.
  • Arro pursued the weakened Evil Creature and crushed it with Abyss Power despite a young man shouting for him to stop.
  • Arro received skill experience for defeating the Evil Creature and for using the Magic Strike Technique, Body Flickering Technique, and Blazing Sword Technique.
  • The young man attacked Arro with Bone Spurs, but Arro blocked the strikes with Phoenix Nirvana.
  • Arro leapt toward the young man, who fell from the courtyard wall and called for Lord Pipit to save him.

Ch. 125The Guilty Party Accuses First

Arro was accused of being an Abyss Sorcerer after using Abyss Power, and the Academy arranged an investigation into him and his fight with Oliver. Bosco protected Arro by claiming responsibility for his Abyss Trick and Pendant, while the other wizards suspected Arro was Bosco’s secret student.

  • Arro stopped fighting when Oliver called for help, and Oliver accused him of being an Abyss Sorcerer scout.
  • Pipit said the Academy would investigate Arro’s power and determine his punishment after reviewing Oliver’s claim that Arro destroyed his Illusion Ghost Demon.
  • Dora told the concealed wizards that Arro must be an Abyss Sorcerer remnant, while Crosh and an Enchanting mentor questioned that conclusion and drew attention to Arro’s Pendant.
  • Bosco revealed that he had given Arro the Pendant and Abyss Trick, preventing the wizards from seizing him.
  • Dora suggested Bosco had secretly taken Arro as a student, and the gathered wizards departed with that suspicion.

Ch. 126Mentor

Bosco reunited with Arro and warned him not to underestimate Advanced Apprentices, then revealed the academy’s conflicts and his dwindling time. Arro learned that Bosco had only two or three years to live and that, after Bosco’s death, the other wizards might turn against him.

  • Bosco ended the magical disturbance and told Arro to call him Mentor again.
  • Bosco examined Arro’s damaged garment and praised Phoenix’s First Cry, while cautioning that Advanced Apprentices had powerful spells, defenses, and enchanted items.
  • Bosco hesitated before telling Arro about the academy’s past and his struggles to reform it, then explained what had happened with Wizard Dora.
  • Bosco gave Arro letters marking places where Nicole Annelise had appeared over the past decade.
  • Arro realized the wizards had begun to resent him and that he could face their hostility after Bosco died in two or three years.

Ch. 127Speed Control Turntable

Arro thanked Bosco for protecting him and discussed building a Speed Control Turntable for the speed-of-light experiment. After Bosco revealed that the soul inside Arro’s wooden ball was badly injured, Arro armed himself and headed to Battle Corner Street.

  • Arro accepted Bosco’s gift and protection, called him teacher, and resolved to repay him by completing the speed-of-light measurement.
  • Arro told Bosco he needed a remotely controlled, constant-speed turntable, and Bosco showed him an airship power core as a reference while insisting he build his own device and conduct the experiment alone.
  • Bosco told Arro that the soul inside his Small Wooden Ball had been badly shocked and instructed him to bury it with Fluorescent Powder.
  • Arro retrieved the dark wooden ball, remembered the white streak and blood-red rainbow, and set out for Battle Corner Street with his longsword and leather armor.

Ch. 128Constructing Silver Core

After considering the dangers surrounding Bosco and the Academy, Arro decided to focus on strengthening himself by developing a Blazing Longsword. He designed and forged its Silver Core, completing the first part of the weapon’s construction.

  • Arro emerged from the Mysterious Great Hall with most of his Experience Points invested in Magic Strike Technique and Blazing Sword Technique, then buried Fluorescent Powder with the Small Wooden Ball as Bosco had instructed.
  • After sleeping through the day, Arro considered whether Dora or other wizards might threaten him and decided to keep strengthening himself rather than rely on Bosco’s protection.
  • Arro went to the Underground Laboratory and designed a Blazing Longsword with a hollowed, replaceable section for Melting Stones and a Silver Core to conduct heat.
  • Arro smelted a block of silver and shaped it with Hand of Magic Power, completing the Silver Core structure.

Ch. 129Sword Forged

Arro completed the Blazing Longsword, then examined the Airship Power Core and identified several of its magic-pattern structures. His attempt to copy them failed, so he began studying Magic Patternology more carefully.

  • Arro carved an interlocking opening and steam-release channels into the Blazing Longsword, then assembled, heated, quenched, and sharpened it.
  • Arro filled the sword’s hilt with Shell Powder and Pure Water, completing the Blazing Longsword.
  • Arro tested the Airship Power Core and identified its Magic Power Input, Power Output Terminal, Magic Power Absorption Structure, Kinetic Energy Conversion Structure, and Kinetic Energy Control System.
  • Arro bought Magic Pattern Ink and tried to reproduce the core’s structures, but his attempt failed.
  • Arro rented books on magic patterns and learned that copying their appearance was not enough; their strokes, angles, ink thickness, and materials mattered.

Ch. 130Enjoying Solitude

After a month of studying Magic Patternology and preparing his Rotating Wheel, Arro left Owl Wizard Academy to find a secluded place for experiments. He emerged into the Silent Forest near the Golden Bauhinia Kingdom and settled on a Barren Mountain as a possible site.

  • The academy closed major locations for two months and sent apprentices into the Outside World on external assignments.
  • Arro studied Magic Patternology in solitude, made a usable Rotating Wheel, and filled his Mental Strength to its limit.
  • After informing Wizard Bosco, Arro used Corner Path Number Four to leave the academy and entered the Silent Forest.
  • Arro identified his location near the Golden Bauhinia Kingdom, chose a direction out of the forest, and worried about Kaitain's safety.
  • Arro surveyed the surrounding area for a secluded experimental site and chose a Barren Mountain.

Ch. 131Exploring the Mountain

Arro climbed Barren Mountain and found a bare volcanic crater surrounding Ring Lake, which he judged suitable for his experiments. Meanwhile, Oliver and Jida’s group investigated Arro’s abandoned camp and discussed their plan to activate a hidden site in three days.

  • Arro caught and roasted a rabbit on the way up Barren Mountain, then continued climbing after discarding what he could not eat.
  • Jida’s group arrived at Arro’s campsite, where Skinny Monkey determined that Arro had left less than a quarter of an hour earlier.
  • Oliver confronted Iron Tower, then asked Jida how soon the activation would be ready; Jida said it would take three more days, and the group promised Oliver the bones inside in exchange for dealing with the Crystal Scorpions.
  • Arro reached the summit and discovered Ring Lake behind Barren Mountain, deciding the volcanic crater would suit his experiments.
  • Arro headed back to report the location to Wizard Bosco and remind him to come check on him if too much time passed.

Ch. 132The Charm of Language

Arro prepared to begin his experiment at the Volcano Crater while Wizard Bosco looked forward to seeing the results. Elsewhere, Jida explained why he relied on the Academy for protection, and Alice announced she would leave the Secret Meeting and strike at Bosco before he died.

  • Arro told Wizard Bosco he would move his instruments to the Volcano Crater and begin the experiment the following night, and Bosco agreed to attend.
  • Arro returned to his laboratory and worked to prepare the equipment for the experiment.
  • Jida told Skinny Monkey that he needed the Academy's protection to balance the power between them and Oliver.
  • At the Secret Meeting, Dora criticized Bosco indirectly while targeting Arro through her remarks about Bosco.
  • Alice condemned the meeting's members for hiding in the shadows, announced she would leave, and vowed to deal Bosco a heavy blow before he died.

Ch. 133A Scene of Peace (Second Update)

Arrow left the Academy as its new students arrived and traveled through the Silent Forest to the volcano crater to prepare a site for his experiments. He began choosing and arranging the locations for the light source, Rotating Disk, reflection point, and observation platform.

  • New students explored the Academy, and Arrow asked Pipit to explain the rules and keep them away from his courtyard.
  • Arrow walked through the busy Academy, remembered Big Brother Desi, and reflected on how much the Academy changed after enrollment.
  • Arrow queued for Life Corner Street and used Number Four Corner Path to return to the Silent Forest.
  • Arrow hurried to the volcano crater and began planning the experiment setup, including a bonfire, a stable reflection point, and a level observation platform.

Ch. 134Preparation and Calibration (Third Watch)

Arro finished building and calibrating the Eight-Mirror Plan, then waited at the Observation Point for Wizard Bosco before starting the experiment. Bosco arrived on his mechanical bird with Oliver in its talons and told Arro to begin.

  • Arro arranged the light source, mirrors, and observation equipment across the Volcano Crater, then calibrated the mirrors by reflecting light onto a stone.
  • Oliver spotted the lights from the concealed tunnel and went to investigate, while Skinny Monkey ordered Iron Tower to activate the Concealment Magic Array after the Iron-Blooded Falcon emerged.
  • Arro waited for Wizard Bosco at the Observation Point and mistook dark figures on the mountain for him, but they fled when he called out.
  • Wizard Bosco arrived aboard a giant iron bird carrying Oliver in its talons, and he urged Arro to start the experiment.

Ch. 135Conducting the Experiment

Arro increased the Rotating Wheel’s speed until the Octagonal Mirror Method produced a reflected beam at the Observation Point, successfully measuring the speed of light. Bosco watched the experiment succeed after doubting it, while Oliver remained preoccupied with hiding his grave-digging.

  • Arro inserted a Magic Stone into the Rotating Wheel and gradually accelerated the octagonal mirror as Bosco watched.
  • Bosco, expecting the experiment to fail, tried to reassure Arro, who pointed out that the growing brightness meant the method was nearing success.
  • Arro used the Sound-Absorbing Light Woods as a backdrop and carefully adjusted the mirror’s speed as a bright spot appeared.
  • Arro saw brightness flash through the Observation Point and announced that the experiment had succeeded.

Ch. 136Results and Anomalies

Arro calculated the speed of light from his Octagonal Mirror experiment, but a mysterious force intervened and made him choose between two mirrors. He chose the Crescent Dark Mirror, which materialized and merged into his body as Bosco returned to his side.

  • Arro calculated the speed of light as 299999 kilometers per second and showed his result to Bosco.
  • A surge of thunder and white light immobilized Arro and Bosco, then swept Bosco away.
  • Arro witnessed a reversed version of his actions and sensed strange forces gathering around the Silver Card Slot.
  • Arro rejected the Silver Card Slot and chose the mirror after recalling Bosco's warning.
  • The Octagonal Mirror shattered, and the Crescent Dark Mirror absorbed the void's power before merging into Arro's body.
  • Bosco's furious voice reached Arro as the white scene faded.

Ch. 137A Sudden Change

Skinny Monkey and Iron Tower discovered that the phenomenon had shattered their Magic Pattern Array and seal, and Skinny Monkey planned to exploit Iron-Blooded Falcon’s attention to steal the Kinetic Core. Arro was thrown into Anomaly Space during the chaos and encountered a swarm of Crystal Scorpions, where the Pirate Statue revealed itself as Pipit and urged him to retreat from an invading Formal Wizard.

  • Skinny Monkey told Iron Tower that the phenomenon had broken their concealment and seal, and said they would wait for a chance to take the Kinetic Core.
  • Bosco pursued a fleeing figure as the Extinct Volcano shook, and he warned Arro about a Crimson Double.
  • Arro activated his Black Flame Fire Phoenix armor and leapt away as the lake released a burst of mist.
  • Arro fell into Anomaly Space and found Crystal Scorpions crawling in formation without attacking him.
  • The Pirate Statue spoke as Pipit, warned Arro that a Formal Wizard was violently invading the space, and directed him to retreat.

Ch. 138Anthony

Arro questioned Pipit about the danger in the Different Dimension and chose to go toward Wizard Bosco, while Dean Anthony responded to a Red Robed Wizard attack on the academy’s resources. Mentor Alice confronted Anthony in the Council Hall, accusing him of helping her despite having no need to do so.

  • Arro examined pirate-battle murals in the corridor and asked Pipit to let him out so Wizard Bosco could help.
  • Pipit said Bosco was shaking the Different Dimension’s core and that Arro had to reach the space’s bottom to survive if it shattered.
  • Arro decided to go toward the wizard Pipit was holding at bay so he could check whether it was Bosco and possibly help break the stalemate.
  • Dean Anthony received reports of Red Robed Wizards attacking the Mithril Mine Area, the Molten Mine Area, and Wizard Rui Di.
  • Anthony ordered resource areas to halt mining, guards to seal checkpoints, and academy wizards to heighten their vigilance.
  • Mentor Alice entered the Council Hall and challenged Anthony about why he was helping her sacrifice thousands of apprentices.

Ch. 139Evil Transformation Ritual (II)

Anthony and Mentor Alice discussed Bosco's control over the academy and the danger of his conducting an Evil Transformation Ritual in the Mysterious Great Hall. Following Pipit's directions, Arro reached the Lava Hall and found a wizard fighting waves of Crystal Scorpions with an Earth Element Avatar.

  • Anthony told Mentor Alice that Bosco still held authority over key academy facilities and the Enforcement Team through his Stone Spirits.
  • Anthony warned that Bosco's Evil Transformation Ritual could damage the Mysterious Great Hall, and said he would help stop Bosco from retaining control of the academy.
  • Arro studied murals of pirates crossing the Thunderstorm Sea Area as he followed Pipit's route toward the Lava Hall.
  • Arro passed through a shadowed turning point between Space Layers and arrived on a scorching platform filled with lava and Crystal Scorpion eggs.
  • Arro saw a gigantic Earth Element Avatar atop a mound of Crystal Scorpion corpses while the wizard fought the attacking scorpions.

Ch. 140Pendant Activated (3

Arro approached the Earth Element Golem while the Formal Wizard battled Pipit, then activated the Pendant and contacted a fragment of his mother Nicole’s Mental Strength. Nicole offered to detonate the Pendant, but Arro persuaded her to let him control its stored magic power as the rising dimension threatened to collapse.

  • Arro realized the Formal Wizard was occupied fighting Pipit and crept toward the Earth Element Golem to attack from its flank.
  • Arro activated the Pendant and reached Nicole, who explained that she was a fragment of Mental Strength separated aboard a Seaship and did not know what had happened to her main body.
  • Nicole warned Arro that he could not defeat a Formal Wizard and offered the Pendant’s Flying Spell as a way to escape, but Arro told her the dimension had no open exit.
  • Nicole proposed detonating the Pendant to damage the Formal Wizard, but Arro refused and asked to control its magic power himself.
  • Nicole withdrew her consciousness and allowed Arro to control the Pendant’s stored magic power through their bloodline connection.

Ch. 141Phoenix Cry!

Arro used Nicole's sleeping Mental Strength to control the Magic Power and form Phoenix Bird Armor while Pipit and the Crystal Scorpions fought the Earth Element Giant. The giant's attack exposed Arro's Abyss Power, and Arro escaped in black armor as a Black Flame Fire Phoenix appeared around him, leaving him ready to strike with his Blazing Longsword.

  • Arro wrapped Magic Power around himself and shaped it into Phoenix Bird Armor while preparing to unleash Phoenix's First Cry.
  • The Earth Element Giant attacked Pipit and the Crystal Scorpions, collapsing their burrows and scattering crystal debris.
  • The giant discovered a black bird-egg-shaped sphere containing Abyss Power and attacked it with Chain Earth Spikes.
  • Arro emerged in black armor with a Black Flame Fire Phoenix around him after the giant's attack let him escape the invisible restraint.
  • Arro gripped the Blazing Longsword and activated the Blazing Sword Technique.
