Jiang Qiu and his allies entered the Twilight Sacred Ruins seeking the Dragon Emperor’s Legacy, but a secret realm rebirthed Jiang Qiu as a dragon hatchling. He began awakening Xiong Batian’s power and set out toward Tai Lake to find the Great Python.

• Shangguan Yue broke through to the peak of the Path-Glimpsing Realm, awakened the Return to Simplicity Great Dao, and joined Jiang Qiu’s search for Liu Zili inside the Eight-Direction Reversal Battleship.
• The Blood Fiend White Tiger seized control of the Thunder Great World after destroying the Thunder Clan, while Jiang Qiu and Yang Lei recovered Twilight Tokens from the clan’s ancestral land.
• Jiang Qiu, Snow, and other cultivators entered the Twilight Sacred Ruins, where the Era Will announced that the strongest entrant could claim the Dragon Emperor’s Legacy.
• Jiang Qiu followed Snow into a secret realm, was separated from her, and was reborn from a dragon egg with his memories stripped away.
• Jiang Qiu learned Dragon Language, named the bear demon Xiong Batian, and discovered that his dragon bloodline gave him extraordinary strength.

Jiang Qiu trained Xiong Batian and the Nine-Tailed Fox, binding them to his bloodline and claiming spirit fruits from the Great Overlords. As the Golden Eagle Tribe mobilized against the attackers, Jiang Qiu and the Nine-Tailed Fox confronted Tiger King Major Overlord.

• Jiang Qiu took Xiong Batian as his mount and traveled through the Primeval Forest, learning from Wild Ape that the Taihu Great Python ruled deadly Tai Lake and that Golden Eagle knew of lands beyond the forest.
• Jiang Qiu challenged the Nine-Tailed Fox with a wager, taught Xiong Batian a Cultivation Method, and watched Xiong Batian reach the Spirit Manipulation Realm as the Nine-Tailed Fox began a breakthrough of her own.
• The Nine-Tailed Fox pledged to follow Jiang Qiu and gave him her spirit fruits, while the Dragon Emperor’s Legacy bound her and Xiong Batian to him and strengthened Jiang Qiu.
• Jiang Qiu taught the Nine-Tailed Fox the Nine-Tailed Body and helped her create the living clone One-Tail, while he resolved to escape the Dragon Emperor’s Secret Realm, reunite with Snow, and kill Zuo Xuan.
• Jiang Qiu mastered Summon Wind and Rain and cultivated with the Nine-Tailed Fox, after three and a half years she formed a second avatar, Jiang Qiu reached the Spirit Manipulation Realm, and Xiong Batian reached its peak.

Jiang Qiu and the Nine-Tailed Fox gathered resources, cultivated powerful incarnations, and survived a tribulation that transformed Skywolf City into a place of worship for the Nine-Tailed Fox God. They crossed the Beimu Mountain Range to Tai Lake and arrived at Spirit Fruit Forest seeking a trade for passage to Resource Island.

• The Nine-Tailed Fox killed Tiger King and forced the Golden Eagle Ancestor to surrender spiritual fruits and treasures, which Jiang Qiu added to the resources gathered from the Eight Great Overlords.
• Jiang Qiu guided the Nine-Tailed Fox's cultivation while One-Tail helped A'Xiong transform and learn cultivation, and the group set out for Tai Lake.
• Jiang Qiu's group seized a Skywolf Tribe mining area and its spirit vein, where the Nine-Tailed Fox cultivated while One-Tail and A'Xiong dealt with the miners and the Skywolf Tribe.
• One-Tail broke through as the Nine-Tailed Fox formed her third avatar, then bore the lightning tribulation that advanced their power and devastated Skywolf City.
• The Skywolf Ancestor honored the Nine-Tailed Fox by renaming the city Nine-Tailed Fox City, while its people worshiped her and the Squirrel Demon became its High Priest.
• Jiang Qiu left the city with the Nine-Tailed Fox, One-Tail, and A'Xiong, chose to cross the Beimu Mountain Range, and accepted an Exiled Great Demon as their guide.

Jiang Qiu and his companions rose from the First Heaven to the Third, then crossed its vast lands in search of a path to the Fourth Heaven. Their search led them to the Northern Lands Sanctuary and its ancient books, where visions and fading memories left the way forward unresolved.

• Jiang Qiu and One-Tail seized the Spirit Fruit Forest, and One-Tail consumed a True Body Fruit before enduring a tribulation and reaching the True Body Realm.
• One-Tail and the Great Python fought a devastating battle, and the clash of the Demon Emperor and Chaos Ancestor left Jiang Qiu's group able to ascend to the Second Heaven.
• Jiang Qiu, One-Tail, the Nine-Tailed Fox, and A'Xiong crossed the Second Heaven and entered the Third, where they learned no one knew how to reach the Fourth.
• After decades of travel and inquiries across the Third Heaven, Jiang Qiu followed leads from Mirror Moon Valley, Cloud Dream Great Marsh, and Secluded Bamboo Valley to the Northern Lands.
• A Heng directed Jiang Qiu toward the powerful demon clans of Northern Lands Valley, where A'Ying guided the group to the Sanctuary and its Cultivation Pavilion.
