• Xu Yunfan strengthened his cultivation, ambushed Zhao San for his supplies and array manual, and accepted a mission to find a Heaven's Heart Snow Lotus with Hua Ling and Li Ergou.
• At the northern wasteland, Xu Yunfan witnessed Li Qingling defeat an Ice Dragon, then killed Li Ergou after he betrayed him and discovered the Azure Firmament Dew-Receiving Sword sheath.
• Xu Yunfan uncovered True Martial Heavenly Fiend in the Profound Ice Abyss and refined Demon Subduing Earth Fiend in the lava sea, forging his Dao Foundation and beginning the True Martial Returning to Position ritual.

Xu Yunfan established himself in the Taihua Realm, brought the Divine Martial elders across, and grew stronger while uncovering the rival sects’ interest in his Dao Foundation. He left for Cold Crow Pass, where he was expected to serve as Garrison Commander amid the looming Three Realms Tide.

• Xu Yunfan entered the Divine Martial Realm, killed True Person Zhou Xing and returned to the Dao Sect with a Heavenly Dao reward.
• Xu Yunfan summoned the Dao Sect elders, gave them the True Martial Subduing Demon Scripture and brought twelve of them to True Martial Peak, while Zhan Yan chose to remain at Heavenly Crafting Cave.
• Xu Yunfan restored the old cultivators and Zhang Ziyang, then learned from Clear Source True Monarch that Nine Abyss had disrupted heavenly secrets and received the Profound Sky Thunder Pearl.
• Xu Yunfan cultivated the Azure Dragon Thunder Bead art, forged his Natal Thunder Sword and refined the Profound Sky Thunder Pearl before continuing his training on True Martial Peak.

He refined the Ziwei Heavenly Fiend, reached Mid Foundation Establishment, and returned to Cold Crow Pass wary of the renewed push to graft a Cave Heaven.

• Xu Yunfan took command of Cold Crow Pass, demanded its full tax revenue, and used its Nether River yin qi to cultivate while Dragon Subduing Arhat arrived to challenge him.
• Xu Yunfan defeated Dragon Subduing Arhat with the pass’s array and his True Martial Sword, while the arhat perfected his technique and later fled after waiting in vain for a Bodhisattva’s decree.
• Xu Yunfan stayed at Cold Crow Pass for years, improved his formation and artifact skills, and then entered the Divine Martial Realm to seek the fiendish energy needed for his advancement.
• Xu Yunfan discovered that Clear Source True Monarch had sealed the Divine Martial Realm and likely intended to raise him as a vessel or nourishment, so he chose to gather strength while concealing his plans.
• Xu Yunfan created a clone to hide in the Divine Martial Realm, then summoned the Ziwei Emperor Star and endured its destructive power to refine the Big Dipper Ziwei Heavenly Fiend.

Xu Yunfan escaped Sanzang’s attempt to claim him, then worked with Lu Chunyang to transfer his Buddhist karma to a controlled clone that became Wukong. Back at Cold Crow Pass, Xu Yunfan began cultivating a dangerous new body-refinement scripture while Wukong accompanied Sanzang into the Eastern Wasteland.

• Xu Yunfan’s Eight Sceneries Cloud Qi shattered Sanzang’s Golden Body, but a Buddha manifestation forced Xu Yunfan to flee toward the Myriad Chariots Sword Sect.
• Pure Yang True Monarch rescued Xu Yunfan from Sanzang, and Lu Chunyang sheltered him in the Pure Yang Cave Heaven and revealed the Bodhi Zen Pure Land’s plans for him.
• Lu Chunyang used the Xuanhuang Embryo Stone and his sword intent to sever Xu Yunfan’s Buddhist karma and transfer it, along with the True Martial Subduing Demon Scripture’s martial intent, into a clone sealed as a stone fetus.
• Lu Chunyang left the stone fetus in the Eastern Wasteland, where Sanzang awakened it as his disciple Wukong and began a ritual to establish a Buddhist presence there.
