"I'll have the surgery!"
After going home and calming down, Charlotte had not changed her decision.
"Good."
Adam nodded. "Dr. Grey, help her with the admission paperwork."
"Please come with me!"
Lexie glanced at Charlotte, whose eyes had been fixed on Adam the entire time, but her expression did not change.
She had long since gotten used to it.
"Charlotte!"
Melissa, standing nearby in thick clothes, awkwardly tugged her collar tighter again. Taking Charlotte's hand, she followed Lexie away.
Adam shook his head.
Whether she dressed like that last night or covered herself up like this now, it meant nothing to him.
Lexie quickly got Charlotte admitted.
Night fell.
"Where's Dr. Duncan?"
Charlotte finally could not help asking, "Why hasn't he come over?"
"Dr. Duncan is very busy!"
The young nurse laughed. "If you need a doctor, I can page Dr. Grey for you."
"What's keeping him so busy?"
Unable to bear seeing her younger sister's dejected expression, Melissa rose to her feet. "Charlotte, I'll go take a look."
After searching for quite a while,
she caught Adam outside an Operating Room.
"Is something wrong?"
Adam asked curiously.
He had thought that after what happened last night, and after suffering Social Death in front of him again, she would not dare come looking for him.
Now it seemed Social Death had its drawbacks too!
Once you had suffered Social Death once, you could never suffer it a second time!
Your mindset became completely different!
"Could you spend more time with Charlotte?"
