"Sheldon, are you okay?"
The moment Amy saw her boyfriend—whom she had been feeding and training for five years without yet getting to eat—talked into fainting on the spot, she was terribly worried.
"Don't worry. It's a protective fainting spell. He's fine."
Adam bent down to take a look and smiled.
"Fine? You call this fine?"
Amy got angry. She trusted Adam's professional judgment, but she still rose and pointed at little Mary. "Little girl, don't get too cocky. I won't let you bully my boyfriend!"
"Did I bully him?"
Little Mary looked at the enraged Amy in surprise. "I haven't even laid a hand on him yet."
"Don't bully the weak. If you've got what it takes, face me one-on-one!"
Amy's girlfriend power exploded.
"Forget it, Amy."
Adam kindly reminded her, "Mary was doing Sheldon a favor too. Think about it—if Mary hadn't spotted such a basic mistake right away, and he published it afterward, then with so much calculation involved, it could be a long time before anyone discovered the problem.
By then, Sheldon wouldn't just be embarrassing himself in front of us friends. He'd be making a fool of himself before the whole world."
"Yeah, forget it. Why get worked up over a child?"
Penny chimed in.
"What, are you scared?"
Amy ignored them and stared straight at Mary.
"Dad, does she have a heart condition?"
Mary ignored Amy as well and looked at Adam.
"I don't!"
Amy shouted. "Do you dare face me one-on-one?"
"Whatever you want."
Mary put on a serious little face and gave Amy an unhappy look. "You pick the contest. I'll go along with anything!"
"Mary..."
Adam looked worriedly at his daughter, who had gotten serious.
"Dad, I know."
Mary nodded.
"Good!"
Amy was overjoyed. "I'll go get ready.
