What was bound to come had finally come.

Adam's first child was born safely at the hospital.

"So cute."

Everyone gathered around and praised her in unison.

"She's all wrinkled. So ugly."

Sheldon said bluntly.

"Get lost!"

Adam responded, cradling his blood-related daughter with great affection.

"Why isn't she crying?"

Bernadette asked in surprise.

She had been born into a large family with far too many siblings. She had even helped care for several younger brothers and sisters when she was little, so she naturally knew what newborns were supposed to be like.

"Newborns don't necessarily cry."

Adam offered an explanation, but his eyes remained fixed on his quiet daughter. Could she be a transmigrator too?

"Have you picked a name?"

Penny asked.

"Mary."

Adam smiled.

"Oh, my mother's name."

Sheldon smiled approvingly.

"No."

Adam shook his head.

After Paige gave birth to Mary, she recovered quickly.

Mary, meanwhile, was extraordinarily well-behaved. She neither cried nor fussed, which had once made Adam rather worried.

But he soon let it go.

Whenever Paige wrote and drew on the whiteboard, little Mary would stare with wide-open eyes. The gleam reflected in them was absolutely not one a simple-minded child should have.

"Juno, Mary will be in your care tonight."

Just after Mary turned one, Adam moved her crib out of the master bedroom he shared with Paige.

"You're being way too careful."

Juno could not help laughing.

"I can't help it."

Adam smiled bitterly, though there was also pride in his voice. "Sheldon could remember things at two. My Mary can't possibly be worse than him.

"I don't want Mary to have memories of us doing that."

Sheldon's parents had lacked experience, so they had never known children could form memories at such a young age. And Sheldon had high-definition Photographic Memory.
