Genius Missy
The Cooper's Home.
The business is over.
"Missy, what are you planning to do in the future?"
Adam laughed.
"I don't know either."
Missy shrugged. "I can't read as much as Sheldon, and I can't do business as well as Georgie Jr.. Whatever."
"Sheldon has a high IQ, Georgie Jr.. has a high financial EQ, and you have a high EQ."
Adam laughed and said, "I think you can develop in the direction of entrepreneurship and sales. You can study at university while helping Georgie Jr. develop his company. Once the company grows big, it will definitely need someone like you."
Of course, if you don't like this, you can also pursue careers as a psychological counselor, host, or other related fields.
You are good at communicating with people and discovering details that others don't know.
You have an amazing talent in this area, no less than Georgie Jr.. in business or Sheldon in science.
"Yeah, right~"
Sheldon, who had been lost in his own world, immediately chuckled upon hearing this.
"Shelly!"
Mary gave a reproachful exclamation.
"Sorry."
Sheldon said seriously, "Weren't you just joking?"
Missy rolled her eyes, too lazy to pay attention to her twin brother.
She had been hurt enough by Sheldon since she was a child. It didn't matter if it was math, but the lack of love from her parents was truly heartbreaking.
Often, she had to make a big fuss just to get her parents' attention away from Sheldon, which caused her to feel very inferior and confused, despite being a beautiful, talented girl.
If Adam, the butterfly, hadn't flapped his wings hard enough, Missy might have really become the 'lowly waitress' her Sheldon described in the future.
"Of course I'm not joking."
Adam laughed and said, "Sheldon, have you forgotten about the time you did the test with Missy? You weren't laughing then."
"Fake!"
Sheldon's shout startled Adam, who almost mistook it for 'fake news'.
"That experiment was complete nonsense!"
Sheldon said angrily.
In 1990, when they were ten years old, Sheldon and Missy participated in a testing experiment as twins through the introduction of their grandmother's boyfriend, Dr. Sturgis.
At first, Sheldon was very happy and enthusiastic, not much less so than his father, who was excited to hear that he would receive a large sum of money to participate in the experiment.
At first, Missy refused because she didn't want to be hurt, but she didn't want her father to be unhappy, so she agreed, going along with her father's excuse of buying her ice cream.
The first experiment tested IQ.
Without a doubt, Sheldon led the pack throughout, dismissing the test questions as child's play.
Missy racked her brains and chatted with the female testers in various ways, but her scores were still very poor. However, she successfully established a good relationship with the female testers and even made them fall in love, changing their hairstyles and belts.
The second experiment tested emotional intelligence.
Missy effortlessly crafted a very detailed story for each image, with many details that even the female testers hadn't noticed.
This amazed the testers.
Sheldon couldn't understand the point of interpreting the pictures and telling stories, and he started to get impatient when the testers asked him "Anything else?" time and time again.
I never want to participate in such tests and experiments again.
Missy is wonderful in every way, except that she is bad at numbers. When she heard that they were paid for their experiments, she ran to her father and asked for half of the money.
Her father lied to her and said it was only $7.50 (it was actually $300), and then asked her how much half that was.
Missy couldn't figure it out after thinking for a long time, so she had to call Sheldon to solve it.
When I comb my hair, I count from 1 to 100, but I often miss or miscount.
With her math scores, it's highly likely she won't get into university.
Without Adam's help beforehand, Georgie Jr.'s Tire Doctor Shop would probably have been delayed for several years.
By then, Missy had long missed the age for college, and when she went out to work, she could only work as a waitress. Eventually, she faded into obscurity and became what her Sheldon called a 'lowly waitress'.
"IQ and EQ are different."
Adam laughed and said, "If Missy puts in a little effort, I'll write her a letter of recommendation, and getting into university will be no problem at all. Her future will definitely be very different."
At this point, she looked at the indignant Sheldon and said, "Sheldon, don't you want your sister to be better? You're twins, her excellence proves that you're better."
Sheldon was taken aback and frowned, saying, "I hadn't thought of that. What you said makes some sense. We share the same genes. I'm so outstanding, so theoretically even if all the nutrients were absorbed by me, Missy should still be above average."
Is it true?
Mary was very excited. "Is it okay?"
Adam's words reminded Mary of the dejected look Missy had inadvertently shown during the experiment.
According to Missy, the family is divided into three teams.
My dad and my older brother played rugby together; they were on the same team.
Sheldon's mother and grandmother kept a close eye on him; he was in the second team.
She, on her own, formed a team all by herself.
Although Mary seemed to want to make it up to Missy at the time, the well-behaved Missy soon disappeared from Mary's sight again, because Sheldon was such a troublemaker.
Now that Adam had reminded her, Mary felt an overwhelming sense of shame and self-reproach, and naturally became even more concerned about Missy's future.
"Certainly."
Adam smiled and said, "Although it may not be the best university, it's enough for Missy to improve herself."
It was just a small favor for him, costing him nothing.
As mentioned before, Georgie Jr.. could potentially grow his company to the size of the Texas Tire King, but is there any chance he could do even better?
Adam thought it was still acceptable.
Although Georgie Jr.. is very financially savvy, he is a real academic failure, barely managing to finish high school by cheating.
Limited by his limited vision and knowledge, even with his exceptional talent, he was unable to fully realize his potential.
And what about Missy?
She has high emotional intelligence and is naturally good at dealing with people. Whether she is a salesperson or a boss, she can do very well.
Once she goes to university and receives systematic training, she can fully unleash her talents and assist Georgie Jr.. in running the tire company. With her high financial intelligence and high emotional intelligence, she might just create another Michelin.
That was a Fortune 500 company, a super conglomerate with a market value of hundreds of billions of dollars in later years.
Adam owns 30% of the original shares. Even if they are diluted continuously in order to raise funds through an IPO, if he retains even 1%, that would still be a fortune of several billion dollars.
Thinking about it this way, it's almost as good as investing in high-tech companies like Apple, Google, and Amazon.
And what did he give in return?
It's just $200,000 at this moment, a lot of talk, and a small favor to lend in the future.
As for failure?
That's alright, just remember your original aspiration.
As Sheldon's good friend, he didn't want to see Sheldon's twin sister become lost and confused simply because no one was guiding her, and thus go from a highly talented and beautiful girl to what Sheldon called a 'lowly waitress'.
That would be such a waste.
Waste is shameful!
