After a seafood feast.

The second round of duty is coming to an end.

Everyone dispersed.

Adam went to Green Clinic, and seeing that there was nothing wrong there, he prepared to go to the emergency room to see if there was anything he could do.

With his energy, he wouldn't mind working longer hours.

Bite!

The elevator has arrived.

As soon as the door opened, Adam's eyes flashed.

But then he saw a handsome middle-aged male doctor smiling at him, while Meredith was squatting in the elevator picking up medical records scattered all over the floor.

"Hi, Adam."

Meredith looked up and greeted Adam.

"Hi, Meredith ~"

Adam gave a playful look. "Hi, Dr. Shepherd."

The eyes are the windows to the soul. If before he only subconsciously sensed that something was wrong, now he was certain.

"Dr. Duncan."

Dr. Shepherd nodded with a smile.

"Did you lose any medical records?"

Adam said with concern, "It's okay, there are surveillance cameras in the elevator, so even if it's lost, it can be found."

Meredith froze instantly.

"I forgot, I have something to see Dr. Green about."

Dr. Shepherd's smile became somewhat unnatural, and he walked straight out of the elevator.

Wow.

Adam stepped into the elevator and looked on in amazement as Meredith stood up, holding the medical records in her arms.

"What's wrong?"

Meredith put on an act, giving off a "what's with that look?" kind of expression.

"That's pretty wild."

Adam quipped, "So eager in the hospital elevator? Looks like that fiery girl has woken up?"

How did you know?!

Meredith stared at Adam in horror.

"Because Cristina and I made a bet on how many days you could last in front of Mr. Dreamy, and she thought you could at least last this week."

Adam laughed and said, "And I'm betting that you won't make it through this week. A single touching moment can make you succumb, not to mention that there are countless touching moments between life and death in the hospital. I don't see any risk of me losing."

"You're betting on me?"

Meredith retorted angrily, "And what makes you think I won't make it through the week?"

"The bet isn't over yet. You two didn't do much in the elevator, maybe just a French kiss. I won't consider it a surrender, how about it?"

Adam joked, "I'll consider it a loss as long as you two don't spend the night together this week."

"You!"

Meredith wanted to say something tough, that you were doomed to lose, but when she met Adam's amused gaze and thought about the volcanic energy between her and Dr. Shepherd, she wasn't even sure she could make it through the night...

Adam was absolutely right. The reason she felt it so strongly all of a sudden was because the fierce girl had awakened, and Dr. Shepherd showed her tender side in front of her. When she saw that scene, her stubbornness crumbled instantly.

How could such a gentle, affectionate, and handsome man be the Playboy she described who "knew she was his student's student, that their relationship violated hospital regulations, and that she risked being fired, yet still wanted to play hunting games with her"?

Bite!

The elevator doors opened, and someone came in.

Meredith rushed out without even realizing she hadn't actually arrived.

Adam smiled and shook his head.

He had only ever seen this kind of thing in Island Nation adult films: live streaming during work hours. It was truly a case of the son following in his father's footsteps.

Back in the emergency room.

"Adam".

The effeminate, chubby George came over, looking like he wanted to say something but hesitated.

"What's wrong?"

Adam looked at the medical record without raising his head.

"Could you teach me?"

George gritted his teeth and said, "So many girls like you..."

"You want to pursue Meredith? No chance."

Adam didn't even look up.

"Who said I was going to pursue Meredith..."

George still wanted to argue, but he was also very unconvinced. "Why do you say I have no chance?"

Adam glanced at him, suppressing the urge to gossip about what he had just witnessed in the elevator.

There's no problem sharing gossip normally, but he couldn't just blurt out gossip that could potentially affect what could be considered a friend's career, so he simply smiled.

"I really can't teach you that, because I don't know anything about it either. But if you want to pursue Meredith, I can give you some advice."

"You say."

George automatically filtered out the first half of Adam's statement, thinking Adam was bragging.

"First question: do you want a proper relationship with Meredith, or do you just want to get intimate with her?"

Adam said in a serious tone.

"Of course, it's about having a serious relationship."

"George shouted."

"There's no way around it, you really can't do this."

Adam shrugged and said, "You're not her type. You can't force love."

"..."

George's lips twitched, his expression complicated, and he asked unwillingly, "What type does she like?"

"Shouldn't you be asking what to do if you only want to kiss someone without dating them?"

Adam joked, "Her type? Someone like Dr. Shepherd."

"Dr. Shepherd ..."

George was momentarily stunned.

"Look!"

Adam scrutinized his expression, amusement in his eyes. "Even you are hopelessly infatuated with Mr. Dreamy Dr. Shepherd, let alone Meredith. Do you think Meredith would ever feel any attraction to you, a potential rival?"

"No, I didn't, don't talk nonsense!"

George quickly denied it, then realized what he'd said and exclaimed, "I'm not gay!"

"Uh-huh."

Adam remained noncommittal.

"I'm really not gay!"

George said urgently.

"You don't need to explain this to me."

Adam patted him on the shoulder. "The most important thing is to let Meredith know."

After saying that, he grabbed the medical record and left.

He's a doctor, not your moon or my heart; he doesn't have time to waste on idle chatter.

George hesitated for a moment, then caught up with him.

"What's wrong now?"

Adam was helpless.

"You gave me two choices..."

George stammered, "And the next option..."

"Hehe."

Adam couldn't help but laugh, "Looks like you've finally figured it out and know what the essential problem is."

George's chubby face couldn't help but turn red.

How much alcohol do you drink?

Adam asked again.

"Well."

George was taken aback. "It's alright."

"That's good."

Adam laughed and said, "Find an opportunity to drink alone with Meredith, drink until you're drunk, and as long as you can hold on, you'll get what you want."

But remember, "it's indescribable" is just that—indescribable. It doesn't represent feelings or romance at all. Once you've pulled up your pants, don't overthink it, because Meredith definitely won't take it seriously.

George's expression was strange, and he didn't know how to react.

He always felt that Adam was discriminating against him.

Shouldn't it be the man who pulls up his pants and then ignores the person he was with?

How come it became Meredith when it came to him?

Clang!

The emergency room door was pushed open.

Adam looked over, his eyes narrowed, and he quickly walked over.
