With their biggest worry gone, they began eagerly hoping that this friend Sheldon could bring earth-shaking changes to their daughter Megan.

And judging by how roughly Megan used to play, relying on her own precautions would still be very difficult.

Adam raised a calming hand toward Megan's family and gave them a reassuring look before smiling at Sheldon over the phone. "If I remember correctly, it's Wednesday today. You should be at the Comic Book Store buying new comics, right?"

On the other end, Sheldon said as if it were only natural, "Everyone knows Wednesday night is New Comic Day. If I'm not at the Comic Book Store at a time like this, where would I be?"
"Did X-Men get a new issue?"
Adam asked with a smile.
"Yes!"
After saying that one word, Sheldon stopped himself. "Don't worry, I won't spoil it for you."
"If I remember correctly, someone is Chewing Man?"
