MAX was a little dazed too, but after Caroline whispered in her ear, "Now you know what Adam-style extravagance means, right?" and she recalled Adam confidently telling her earlier that everything would be fine, she held her head high and snapped back again. "That's right, me!"
True or not, she would snap back first.
"That manor is worth twelve million dollars!"
The wealthy girl at the head of the group looked MAX up and down, taking in her utterly unextravagant clothes and accessories. No matter what, she refused to believe MAX could buy a manor that even she could only dream of owning.
