After hanging up on Heather, Adam shook his head with a silent laugh.

Sheldon truly was heaven's favored son.

Struck by inspiration, he had attempted to use Descartes's famous saying, "I think, therefore I am," to refute Zhuangzi's Butterfly Dream.

I think, therefore I am.

That was, if I raised a question, then I had thought.

And if I had thought, then I certainly existed.

But unfortunately,

whenever humans think, God laughs.

Even if that human was Sheldon.

"I think, therefore I am" could not refute Zhuangzi's Butterfly Dream.

Because one could think in a dream as well. With dreams within dreams stretching endlessly, no one could say which one was the true original self.

Humanity had spent thousands of years on such complex and profound philosophical debates. Countless brilliant minds had only been able to raise questions, unable to provide perfect answers.

Even though Adam's intelligence approached Sheldon's, it was impossible for him to immediately answer questions concerning the very origins of the world.

Then use those answers to explain things to Tatiana and comfort her.

But he did not need to do that at all.

If he could not solve the problem, nor solve the person who raised it, then he would shift the problem elsewhere.
