Red, yellow, green, and gray.

Carpets of their respective colors had been spread across the docks, forming treatment areas filled with batches of victims suffering injuries of varying severity.

Red represented critically injured patients who had to be treated immediately.

Yellow represented stable patients whose treatment could be delayed.

Green represented minor injuries that did not require treatment for the time being.

As for gray—

Those were the dead beyond saving. They did not even require emergency treatment, let alone transportation to the hospital by ambulance afterward.

The ambulances were now used only to transport critically ill red-zone patients.

The dense cluster of patients in the red zone had occupied nearly every ambulance.
