"Next."

Dr. Bailey announced, "Yang, you're up!"

"Okay."

Cristina was eager to give it a try.

"Everyone, hold on."

Just then, Chief of Surgery Richard walked over, his expression grave. "We've received word of a mass-casualty incident. All trauma centers must activate their emergency response. I need to dispatch a medical team immediately."

"Is this part of the test?"

Cristina's first thought was whether this was a simulated scenario. "Do I need to look nervous?"

She wasn't afraid of exams.

What she feared most was doctors being expected to display human emotions.

If they were really testing that, she was finished.

Because she had no feelings.

Not only was she not nervous or sympathetic—she even felt a little like laughing.

"Chief, what kind of accident was it?"

Adam's gaze sharpened.

"I don't know. I only received the order. The details are still unclear."

Chief of Surgery Richard shook his head at Adam, then looked at Cristina. "Dr. Yang, this isn't a test or an act. This is an emergency. I need everyone in position and ready!"

After saying that, he swept his gaze over the group and ordered, "Dr. Bailey, you lead the team. Adam, you're going too!"

"Yes."

In a situation like this, all they could do was obey.

"Yang, Grey, O'Malley, go prepare the first aid kits. Remember the triage classifications from earlier. You'll be putting them to real use very soon."

After the Chief of Surgery left, Dr. Bailey ordered, "What are you standing around for? Move! Move! Move!"

"I'll get my first aid kit too."

Adam called out to Dr. Bailey and hurried toward his office.
