Several ambulances came screaming in.

Adam was the first to meet them.

"Marla Christ, thirty-four, female. Abdominal rupture, skull fracture, third-degree burns, with at least forty percent of her skin directly infected."

The paramedic spoke quickly as he pushed the gurney down from the ambulance.

"Okay, I've got her."

As Adam took over, he gave orders. "Notify Dr. Shepherd. Prep Operating Room Two. Melendez, Little Grey, with me!"

"Yes!"

Shorty and Lexie immediately followed.

"Dr. Duncan, what about me?"

Carter jogged after them and asked.

"You stay and assist Dr. Bailey."

Adam glanced back at him and gave the order.

"Yes."

Carter could only stop reluctantly and watch Shorty and Lexie follow Adam toward the Operating Room.

After Dr. Bailey had trained Cristina and the others, she no longer had anyone under her. If she wanted residents, she had to coordinate with Chief Resident Kelly; if she wanted interns, she had to coordinate with Cristina and the others who supervised them.
