"O'Malley, I'll leave this to you."

Looking at the old man, who was breathing normally but still unconscious, Adam recalled that his surname was Paige and that he had a granddaughter. "Notify me immediately if anything happens, or when his family arrives."

The surname Paige was not uncommon in American TV shows.

So Adam was not sure whether the man's granddaughter was the one he had guessed.

Still, he was curious.

"Yes."

George agreed.

Adam continued dealing with other emergency cases.

In the blink of an eye, it was noon.

Cafeteria.

"The Chief really isn't planning to retire?"

When Cristina heard Adam mention it, she could not help glancing at Meredith.

"Mm."

Adam nodded. "It can't be helped. The Chairman of the Board repeatedly asked him to stay. You saw the Chief's abilities firsthand at this morning's seminar. Right now, there really isn't anyone with enough prestige and ability to replace him."

"What a pity..."

Cristina could not help saying it. Seeing Adam and Meredith both look at her, she quickly explained, "I don't mean it's a pity the Chief isn't being replaced. I mean it's a pity that those seminars, which used to be more exciting than blockbuster movies, won't happen anymore."

"You should count yourself lucky."

Adam teased, "Otherwise, before long, it would be your turn to take the stage as Best Actress. With your 'popularity' around the hospital, I guarantee your big performance would be the most explosive one yet. It would probably shoot straight to number one in the history of 'Seminar Popcorn' movies. You just might not enjoy it then."
