Outside the notice board of the City Lord's mansion, a dense crowd surged, a noisy and bustling scene filled with countless God-level experts flocking like a tide.
"The Blood Peak Army's recruitment period is for one hundred years. Those interested, hurry!"
"We don't know when the next special recruitment will be. Don't miss this great opportunity!"
It seemed to be members of the Blood Peak Army shouting loudly, deeply stirring those who were hesitant.
"I want to sign up!"
"Count me in!"
For many God-level experts, the words "Blood Peak Army" were synonymous with authority, status, and a secure future!
Especially with this opportunity to expand their forces by lowering the entry requirements, the desire to join was particularly strong among those Middle Gods who were refining their Divine Sparks, completely blocking the registration area.
Jess exclaimed repeatedly, "This is really exaggerated. I don't think we can squeeze in."
He looked around, searching for Thomas, Donald, Dennis, Corey, and the others, but the overwhelming crowd all looked the same.
Linley frowned, his expression grave.
What he saw and heard here made him realize deep in his heart, "The struggle for faith between the Sovereigns is escalating!"
Thomas finally managed to push his way out of the crowd and happened to bump into Jess not too far ahead. He called out, "Jess, you're here too."
As he spoke, he saw Linley on the other side and smiled, "Linley's here too. It's incredibly lively over here."
Jess asked, "I heard that Middle Gods who have refined their Divine Sparks can also join the Blood Peak Army. Is that true?"
With so many people around, he worried about misunderstandings, and since Thomas had arrived earlier, he surely knew more.
Thomas nodded, sighing, "Yes, honestly, the treatment they're offering is so good that even I'm a little tempted."
Linley and Jess immediately asked him for details.
Thomas chuckled, "The announcement promises that Four-star Demons who join the Blood Peak Army will receive a house within the city! Five-star and Six-star Demons will receive guidance from Seven-star Demons! Seven-star Demons will receive guidance from Asura-level powerhouses, and a drop of Sovereign Power! Furthermore, if one performs exceptionally well in wars on the Material Planes, they might even be chosen by a Sovereign to become a Sovereign's Emissary!"
Jess's mouth fell open in surprise, and he swallowed, "Indeed, it's a grand gesture, but it's all treatment prepared for true experts."
The two looked at Linley in unison. He should be close to becoming a High-God, right?
Having the strength of a Six-star Demon during his Middle God stage, it was imaginable that after becoming a High-God, he would be at least a Seven-star Demon, or even close to an Asura!
Linley said calmly, "Why are you guys looking at me? This has nothing to do with us. Don't think too much about it now. The right path is to stay in the city and cultivate diligently."
These words were not just a reminder to them, but also Linley's own admonition. Not yet even a Seven-star Demon, he shouldn't get involved in the Faith War. The stronger he appeared, the higher the probability of attracting the attention of other Sovereign factions.
Linley transmitted his voice, instructing, "Jess, you and Corey should pay more attention to the situation at the Tianlan Tribe. If it involves the Sovereign's Army, remember to report to me promptly."
Jess transmitted back his assurance, "Understood."
With this matter settled, Linley left the noisy area around the City Lord's mansion alone. After a brief moment of thought, he headed out of the city. However, his Life God Avatar and Death God Avatar remained within the mansion; there was no need to bring them along this time.
Linley's mind was active. He thought, "Time waits for no one. I must take a slight risk and accelerate my cultivation progress. Relying on the amplitude of Magnetic Field Power, as long as I possess strength comparable to a Paragon High-God, I can roam freely in any Material Plane without a Sovereign."
"I can completely choose to join a Sovereign's faction, and in exchange for a promise, if a Sovereign falls in the Faith War, they will support me in refining a Sovereign Spark to the best of their ability!"
Linley knew this was a very idealistic plan, but he had no other choice. If he didn't seize the opportunity amidst the chaos of the Faith War to gamble on a minuscule possibility, his future chances of becoming a Sovereign would be despairingly slim.
Even if he waited until the era when the Four Divine Beasts fell, he wouldn't be able to refine those four Sovereign Sparks of Earth, Fire, Water, and Wind attributes.
"Good, no one is following me."
Linley mingled with the crowds on the street, walking inconspicuously, maintaining his vigilance. He simply released his Magnetic Field Power to sense his surroundings, ensuring no one was watching his every move. Fortunately, he had been overly cautious.
Currently, the focus of all the factions within the city was concentrated on the City Lord's mansion.
Linley altered his appearance using Divine Power, adjusting his body shape. A thick beard grew along both sides of his cheeks and his chin, and his black hair stood up like steel needles. Unless someone intimately familiar with Linley's soul aura saw him, they would absolutely not recognize his true identity.
Linley thus naturally walked out of Red Stone City, leaped up, and flew towards the distance.
Flying alone in Hell was a bold and dangerous act. Ten miles outside Red Stone City, within a mountain forest.
"Haha! A mere Middle God dares to travel alone? You're practically delivering yourself to us!"
Dozens of God-level experts flew out from the vast mountain forest. Leading them was a Dwarf Middle God wielding a black spiked great hammer, grinning menacingly.
"Has anyone ever told you that you're really ugly?"
Linley also smiled, mocking him without restraint.
The Dwarf was enraged and roared, "Attack all at once, kill him!"
Streams of Divine Power flowed out, mostly material attacks.
Linley's movements were faster. With a calm expression, he snapped his fingers, completely indifferent to the attacks from these small fry. They couldn't even break through his body's magnetic field defense.
"Screech!"
A brilliant, scorching lightning bolt, like a sword from the heavens, instantly turned the Dwarf bandit leader into ashes. His menacing grin vanished forever.
"Not good, it's a master! Run!"
With their leader struck dead by lightning, the subordinates under him turned pale with fear and desperately scattered, fleeing in all directions.
Linley coldly uttered a single word: "Collapse!"
"Boom!"
Lightning orbs exploded in the sky, their currents of overbearing destructive power scattering like ten thousand swords returning to their source, instantly engulfing all the bandits and turning them into ashes!
With a thought, Linley waved his hand, casually collecting the Divine Sparks, space rings, and other spoils of war. He continued to fly along the route closest to the Star Mist Sea, as indicated on the map he had studied.
He possessed a metal life, but he had no intention of riding it, nor was he truly planning to head to the Star Mist Sea. He just needed to find a direction.
This excursion outside the city was meant to allow him to act freely, to train the final profound mystery of the Lightning Element Law. Encountering more battles was better; in a sense, he was also fishing.
Red Stone Mountain Range, Tianlan Tribe.
Over the years, its scale had expanded severalfold. With Corey, a High-God demon, stationed here, and the powerful deterrence of several High-Gods, ordinary bandit gangs dared not provoke them to their doom.
"Whoosh..."
The sound of wind rustling came from afar. A metal life appeared, and after arriving above the tribe, it began to slow down and descend. A gap opened in its recessed abdomen, and several figures looked down upon the large expanse of buildings built along the mountainside.
