Inside a small room at the Magic City Night Watchmen office, a middle-aged man in a three-piece suit sat in a chair and said solemnly:

"Ji Dekeng, codename: Gentleman."

"Former Crow City steward..."

Before he could finish, a childish voice interrupted him.

"Shut up, KFC! You're as long-winded as ever!"

As soon as she spoke, the CEO chair in front of Ji Dekeng spun around.

The black CEO chair was huge, a size larger than an ordinary swivel chair, and looked incredibly high-end.

But the person sitting in it was a little too small.

More precisely, way too small.

Her face was childlike, even carrying a little baby fat.

She was a loli, the kind where three years was the minimum sentence and the death penalty was the maximum.

The cool-faced little loli lightly tapped the armrest of the massive chair with her fingertips, putting on the air of an aloof female CEO. Combined with her childish face, though, she looked rather like a little adult.

"Ji Dekeng, you're really as boring as ever," the little loli said coldly.

"How am I boring? I heard a Peppa Pig watch has been really popular lately. I was even planning to buy you one!"

"Are you looking to die?"

The little loli was so rude, yet Ji Dekeng did not get angry. He pushed up his round-framed glasses, leaned on the Dragon Snake Umbrella, and said, "Little Sakura Ning, never being able to grow up must be quite troublesome, huh? You always have to change identities."

"None of your business," said the little loli called Sakura Ning.

"I just don't get it. Ordinary fox demons have those figures! Those looks! Tsk, tsk, tsk! But why do all of you White Fox clan members stay small? Is your entire clan full of loli lovers?" Ji Dekeng continued to babble to himself.

"KFC!!!" Little loli Sakura Ning slammed the table, her face turning even colder.

Lin Xiaoqi had told Lu Yibai that there were demons within the Night Watchmen, and they had always devoted themselves to the cause of "human-demon harmony."

They were the opposite of the "radicals" among demons who wreaked havoc in the human world. They were close to humans and eager to integrate into human society.

But who could have imagined that the person in charge of the Magic City office, one of the largest offices in the Night Watchmen organization, was actually a white fox!

Leaning on the Dragon Snake Umbrella, he gently stroked the snake head with his fingers and said in a low voice, "I've found a successor. He has taken over Crow City."

"You? A successor?" Sakura Ning crossed her legs and swung her little feet, looking somewhat surprised. "I introduced so many newcomers to you before, and you weren't satisfied with any of them. I'm really curious. What's so special about him?"

Special? Did being especially useless count?

"There's nothing particularly special about him. He's simply an extremely suitable fit for my line."

As she spoke, she furiously stomped her little feet.

"Let me make this clear first. If I think that kid doesn't measure up, I'll arrange another steward for Crow City."

Ji Dekeng nodded, looking completely unconcerned.

Tap tap tap, she rapidly typed on the keyboard.

"Codename?"

"Player."

The doors of the Magic City office opened several minutes later.

Little loli Sakura Ning strode out in front, looking just like a shrunken delinquent girl.

Ji Dekeng stood quietly behind her, looking somewhat like her butler.

The moment the two appeared, the previously noisy hall quickly fell silent.

"You chat with them. I'm going inside first," the little loli said to Ji Dekeng before walking into her office.

"Come on, come on, stop squatting. Everyone gather around. Let's just have a casual chat," Ji Dekeng said, appearing very approachable.

Then he walked through the crowd, chatting with everyone in a warm and friendly manner.

Though every Night Watchman possessed extraordinary abilities, the organization itself was full of ordinary human warmth. They were no different from regular people. Someone even asked Ji Dekeng, "Boss, want a smoke?"

Ji Dekeng made a full round through the crowd. Everyone felt that their new boss seemed easy to get along with. A legendary figure, yet so kind and approachable—truly a role model for our generation!

Yet quite a few male Night Watchmen were puzzled: had someone just touched my butt?
