Xu Xiaoshou arranged a rescue for Xiang Yaoyao that drew Dao Qiongchang into a struggle over Yujing City and the southern escape route. The survivors reached Changde Town as Xi pursued them, and Dao Qiongchang emerged to confront Xu Xiaoshou.

• Ba Zunan learned that Dao Qiongchang had captured Xiang Yaoyao and warned that Xu Xiaoshou had to face the danger himself, while Xu Xiaoshou learned of the capture and prepared a rescue plan.
• Xu Xiaoshou sent Li Fugui and Quan Sanqing to break Dao Qiongchang’s Hundred-Realm Spirit-Severing Formation, but Dao Qiongchang defeated the rescue attempt and trapped the group outside Yujing City.
• Zhu Yike rescued Aunt Xiang, A Yao, and Dongdong, then followed Xu Xiaoshou’s instructions to bring them toward Changde Town and the Cao Clan Blacksmith Shop.
• Dao Qiongchang investigated the rescue and identified Zhu Yike as the Flower-Red Bandit, while Xi learned that Southern Domain cultivators had deceived his Ghost Sword Technique.
• Cao Erzhu completed the Lightning Profound-Meaning Array Diagram and left Changde Town for Qingyuan Mountain, where August and her companions departed after leaving him a note.
• Dao Qiongchang attacked Zhu Yike’s group, but Jinren used Xu Xiaoshou’s name to bluff Xi into retreating, allowing the group to escape toward Changde Town.
• Xi darkened Changde Town with ghosts bearing the White Sinful Karma Flame, and Jinren used the Heavenly Mechanism Puppet to hold back the ghost tide as the group reached the Cao Clan Blacksmith Shop.
• Dao Qiongchang tore free of Zhu Yike’s blood cloth, revealed that he had made a hole in the shop’s ceiling, and addressed Xu Xiaoshou.

Jinren and his allies converged on Qingyuan Mountain as Dao Qiongchang’s schemes exposed Xu Xiaoshou and drew Cao Erzhu into the struggle. Jinren sacrificed himself, Xu Xiaoshou remained trapped in danger, and Zhu Yike revealed another deception in the Apricot Realm.

• Kui Leihan rejected Jinren’s offer, drove Xi unconscious with violet lightning, and blasted Dao Qiongchang out of Changde Town before expelling the others.
• Yu Zhiwen met Cao Erzhu on Qingyuan Mountain, but Cao sealed her and Xi’s spiritual seas and carried them away before finding his father Cao Yihan’s head in Changde Town.
• Dao Qiongchang captured Jinren and Zhu Yike, questioned Jinren about his research and Ba Zunan’s child, then destroyed a sinister altar after Du Liang completed its offering.
• Mei Suren learned that Cao Yihan had been killed, brought Cao Erzhu to confront Dao Qiongchang, and watched Cao attack him before Jinren and Cao chose to join First Pavilion Under Heaven.
• Dao Qiongchang trapped Mei Suren, Cao Erzhu, and others in Qingyuan Mountain’s formation, revealed his Handshake Rune plan, and confronted Xu Xiaoshou at the Ran Ming Ruins.
• Jinren detonated himself beneath the Ran Ming Ruins, while Dao Qiongchang preserved his remnant thought, released the formation, and crushed the Apricot Realm Jade Talisman.
• Yu Zhiwen found Xu Xiaoshou’s incarnation dead and learned his true body was trapped in the Origin Mansion, then Five Declines of Heaven and Man appeared as Xu’s allies sought a way to reach him.
• The Dragon Apricot Spirit exposed an impostor using Zhu Yike’s identity and banished the real Zhu Yike, but Zhu emerged from a Dragon Apricot after staging another secret crossing.

Xu Xiaoshou’s plan to escape with the Dragon Apricot Spirit collapsed as Greed God rampaged, and Dao Xuanji took control of the Holy Spirit Hall. Xu Xiaoshou defeated Dao Xuanji in Yujing City, then challenged the city and Holy Mountain over the treatment of Ghost Beasts.

• Dao Qiongchang drew his sword against Xu Xiaoshou, while Xu Xiaoshou arranged for his Second True Body to take the attack as his original body escaped with the Dragon Apricot Spirit.
• Greed God swallowed Dao Qiongchang and rampaged through Qingyuan Mountain toward Yujing City, injuring defenders as Xu Xiaoshou’s Second True Body tried to stop it.
• Dao Xuanji became Hall Master, declared Dao Qiongchang, Gou Wuyue, and Wei Feng traitors, and discovered that hundreds of Holy Mountain figures had been Heavenly Mechanism Puppets.
• At Yujing City’s southern gate, Xu Xiaoshou accused Dao Qiongchang of causing Greed God’s mutation and fought Zhong Yuanzi, while the Spirit Refiners debated the meaning of Profound-Meaning Array Diagrams.
• Xu Xiaoshou encountered Elder Sang in his Higher Void world, recognized him, and returned to reality as Greed God bit him in two before white flames surged from its mouth.
• Dao Xuanji bound Greed God with the Xuanji Grand Formation and attacked Ye Xiaotian and Mei Suren, but Xu Xiaoshou arrived and defeated her after Cao Erzhu struck her with lightning.
• Greed God broke free again, and Fang Wenxin extracted much of its soul as Xu Xiaoshou freed Ye Xiaotian and challenged Fang over whether Ghost Beasts had to be killed.
• Xu Xiaoshou told the crowd that Greed God had helped make medicines, denounced the Holy Spirit Hall and Red Robes, overturned the Xuanji Grand Formation, and vowed to overturn Gui-Zhe Holy Mountain.

Xu Xiaoshou bonded with Greed God, defeated Dao Xuanji, and exposed the truth about Yu Zhiwen’s and Lei Xier’s eyes. He then defeated Bei Bei in a public duel and used the broadcast to demand negotiations with Grey Palace of the Xu Moon, as his cultivation began to advance.

• Xu Xiaoshou burned the Ghost Beast Contract Book and formed a new bloodline contract with Greed God, transforming with her into a nine-tailed Limit Giant whose strike devastated the land around Yujing City.
• Xu Xiaoshou completed his contract with Greed God, awakened her human form, and attacked Dao Xuanji, who was left pierced by Yousi Sword.
• Xu Xiaoshou summoned Lei Xier, and Dao Xuanji admitted that Yu Zhiwen carried Lei family blood and the Pearl Star Pupil before Lei Shuangxing revealed that the eye had belonged to Lei Xier.
• Yu Zhiwen learned that Dao Xuanji had taken Lei Xier’s eyes and life force, and Xu Xiaoshou stopped her from gouging out her own eyes.
• The God-Worship Willow revived through Dao Xuanji, but Xu Xiaoshou reversed its drain and tore out its heart, leaving Dao Xuanji to Lei Shuangxing and Lei Xier.
• Mei Suren arranged for the Sword Immortals’ duel to replace the Holy War, and Bei Bei challenged Xu Xiaoshou for the Seven Sword Immortal Ranking with the Wind Clan as witness.
• Xu Xiaoshou fought Bei Bei in Yujing City, survived her Heaven’s Liberation, and defeated her by snapping her Heaven-reaching Imperial Sword before setting her down unharmed.
• After Feng Zhongzui announced Xu Xiaoshou as the winner, Xu Xiaoshou used the live broadcast to demand that Grey Palace of the Xu Moon negotiate with First Pavilion Under Heaven, and his qi sea began Tide Rising.
