Nezha is the Spirit Pearl reincarnated into an Innate Lotus Root Body. He was a disciple of Grand Unity True Person and the third son of Li Jing, serving the Primordial Heavenly Court as the Great God of the Three Altars of the Sea and commander of the Three Realms' navy. 160

Despite his celestial position, Nezha became deeply hostile toward the Heavenly Court. He condemns Li Jing for failing to protect Chentang Pass during the Dragon Race's rampage, then forcing Nezha to commit suicide after Nezha injured Ao Bing while fighting the dragons. 302 He likewise denounces the Jade Emperor and the immortals for valuing incense offerings over the suffering of mortals. 302 303
