Background

Lu Xiao and Lu Chen are the reborn True Spirits of twin Creator Gods. After their rebirth on Earth, Lu Xiao returned to the Primordial World and became bound to the Destined Villain System. His assigned role was to control the Yin Primordial World, maintain the balance of Yin and Yang, and endure future tribulations as the “villain.” 906

In the Primordial World, Lu Xiao inherited Carefree Heaven's legacy and rapidly rose from mortality to the upper immortal realms. He rejected the Jade Emperor's offer of a Heavenly Court office, preferring to remain an unfettered wanderer free from the karma of incense offerings. His refusal brought him to Nezha's attention; their fights around the Heavenly River eventually became the basis of a friendship. 461 465

The Villain System also led Lu Xiao to rescue the severely wounded Space Demon God, Ancestor Yang Mei. In return, he received increased spatial affinity, spatial inheritance, and Yang Mei's friendship, establishing a connection that later allowed him to traverse between realms. 476

Lu Xiao is ambitious, irreverent, and fiercely self-reliant. He refuses to submit to authority merely for status, as demonstrated by his rejection of the Jade Emperor's recruitment, and he openly embraces the role assigned to him by the Villain System. 461 906

He often meets danger with teasing arrogance and flippant taunts, even when facing vastly stronger enemies. Beneath that demeanor, he is highly calculating and willing to take extreme risks for power, control, and the protection of those he considers his own. 465 984

After Nezha's account of a cultivator named Lu Xiao leads Lu Chen to suspect a connection, Lu Chen spends 300,000 System Points on a Cross-Realm Communication Stone and calls out to him in the Primordial World. Lu Xiao initially responds with caution, but recognizes their shared past after Lu Chen invokes their father's name, Lu Guo. 463 464
