Ch. 3773Sacrificial Ground and the Three-colored Ring

Shade and the Church representatives used Moonlight Water and the relic Moon in the Water to combine three Bent Arcs into an Artificial Ring of Fate. The ring proved useful against Fate powers but had limited durability, and the group returned to the Radiance Messenger with plans to produce more.

  • Miss Eden gave Shade Moonlight Water, and he shaped its moonlight into the final silver Bent Arc.
  • The group used Moon in the Water, ritual gauze, and two Church-provided Bent Arcs to forge a Three-colored Ring.
  • Miss Eden reported that the Misfortune Order and The All-Number-One Society would exchange intelligence with the Church about The Tyranny Club the following night.
  • After five minutes, Shade and the others retrieved the completed ring and each planned to use Moon in the Water that night.
  • Vanessa and Bella explained that the Artificial Ring could resist Fate Impacts and enable brief combat in Twilight, but it lacked resonance powers and would eventually break apart.
  • Vanessa said Moon in the Water could produce two or three rings nightly, while production using the Sun Shadow Double Wheel remained uncertain.

Ch. 3774Before the Ritual

Shade and his allies prepared for the Fate's Great Overture ritual, discussing Ancient God blessings, artificial Rings, and plans for the coming battle. As the ritual day began, they learned that unnatural fog was harming Lady White and gathered at the island's seven performance sites to protect the ritual.

  • Luvia told Shade that the Council's Chaos-controlled Functional Area could grant Ancient God blessings, and Vanessa and Sivie volunteered to receive them while Megan was assigned the next Artificial Ring.
  • Shade planned further preparations against Mr. Snake and Destiny, then woke on Monday to hear heavy military carriages moving through Saint Derain Square.
  • Shade found a one-Gold-Pound coin and a grocery-shopping task in God's Gift Box, then traveled with Dorothy, Vanessa, and Little Mia to Fatumonst Island.
  • Winnie reported that unnatural fog had risen from the Underground Water Veins and was seriously harming Lady White, prompting her to urge the group to complete the ritual quickly.
  • The seven Core Musicians prepared to perform at separate locations across the island, with Shade accompanying Stella to Peak of Fate alongside Claire, Sylvia, and Megan.

Ch. 3775Dream of Burning Away the Snow Mountain

Shade and the others gathered at Peak of Fate to begin the ritual meant to help Stella perform an ancient Divine Art of Fate. As the music started at nine thirty, no sign of Mr. Snake or his followers had appeared, leaving the ritual’s outcome uncertain.

  • Claire told Shade that she dreamed of fighting her grandfather as fire melted the Snow Mountain, then resolved to seek guidance from Iluna Bayes and Miss Eden to advance before the final battle.
  • Shade reassured Claire and promised to help her contact Iluna, then described his past encounter with a Sun temple and discussed the relic Sun Shadow Double Wheel with Daniste.
  • The group completed its preparations at Peak of Fate, where Shade, Claire, Stella, and the other musicians took their places for the ritual.
  • At nine thirty, the conductor lowered her baton and Fate’s Great Overture began.

Ch. 3776The Reappearing God of Mist

Shade left the Fate's Great Overture ritual to investigate twilight-colored fog spreading across the Snow Mountain, where an enemy separated him from Megan, Claire, and Ellie. Inside the fog, Shade met Ms. Meister, God of Mist, who warned that twilight would spread even if the sealed snake was defeated and suggested Shade might be able to reverse the Doomsday's erosion.

  • Shade saw yellow sand blowing toward the Snow Mountain and went with Megan and Claire to investigate, leaving Danist, Ingram, and Sylvia at the ritual.
  • Shade, Megan, Claire, and Ellie entered the fog, but it separated Shade from the others as a stranger called Lost One appeared and used an Out of Control Tree Hole to trap them in a dangerous domain.
  • Megan asked Ellie to find Shade, and Ellie led Megan and Claire deeper into the fog while Shade pursued a mysterious figure into a twilight realm.
  • Shade discovered that the figure was Ms. Meister, God of Mist, who gave him a Destiny Coin and explained that fog carried her power across time and space.
  • Ms. Meister warned Shade that twilight would persist even if he defeated the sealed snake, and suggested he might have a way to reverse the Doomsday's erosion.

Ch. 3777Claire and Claire

Shade declined the God of Mist’s power for himself and asked her to help the Witches traveling with him. In the Snow Mountain’s distorted fog, Claire found and carried a corpse identical to herself, which began recounting a possible future in which Mr. Snake killed her.

  • Shade told Ms. Meister he would find his own way to make Twilight fade and asked her to help the confused platinum-blonde Witch.
  • Ms. Meister vanished after suggesting Lord of the Ring could not enjoy a story whose outcome was already certain, and Shade prepared to summon Grace and Helen.
  • Ellie guided Megan and Claire through the fog and told them the way out lay above; the group flew upward and continued across the snowy slopes.
  • Claire found her own corpse beneath the snow, carried it away, and heard it say Mr. Snake had killed it with Fated Death while protecting Stella.
  • The corpse described a future Final Battle in which Stella gathered three Rings of Fate, Mr. Snake attacked the Candidates, and several factions suffered devastating losses.

Ch. 3778Claire's Fall

Claire confronted a corpse resembling herself in the fog, rejected its claim that her fate was fixed, and fell with it from a cliff. The Fatu People’s inheritance recognized her, and she emerged as a Twelfth Ring Sorceress.

  • Claire asked the corpse about its power and how she could gain strength, then declared she would shape her own life and protect those around her.
  • At the cliff’s edge, Claire realized the corpse had never spoken aloud and questioned what it was; it revealed that it came from discarded spacetime.
  • The corpse pushed Claire off the cliff, and the two fell into the fog as the Calamity Cards: The Last Fatu Person flew from Claire’s pocket.
  • Claire’s Destiny Ring completed its transition from the Eleventh Ring to the Twelfth Ring, and the Fatu People’s inheritance filled her with secret arts and power.
  • Claire landed in the snow and rose as a genuine Twelfth Ring Sorceress, though her Golden Stairway rank remained Eleventh.

Ch. 3779The Ascended Witch

Claire advanced to the Twelfth Ring after gaining profound ice-and-snow power, escaped the Great Fog, and defeated the Lost One at the summit. Although the Sixth Act was confirmed over, new corrupted regions and unanswered questions left Shade uneasy, and Claire came to speak with him before he left for Yodel Palace.

  • Claire used her new power to escape the Great Fog and emerged near the summit of Peak of Fate.
  • Claire froze and killed the Lost One, but Professor Danist found only his [Lost] Bent Arc on the corpse.
  • Ellie, Shade, and Megan reunited with Claire, and Shade confirmed that she had advanced to the Twelfth Ring.
  • The Church confirmed that the Sixth Act had ended, though two new corrupted regions and other attacks had left Fatumonst Island in a poor state.
  • Shade remained suspicious that Mr. Snake's plans were not finished, while Claire came to Snow Mountain Hall and found him watching the sunset with Little Mia.

Ch. 3780Sunset: Celebration and Summons

After Claire advanced to the Eleventh Ring, Shade reassured her about her strange vision and celebrated with her before she reunited with Stella. Shade then traveled with Galina and Tifa to Yodel Palace to meet Larus III, where he waited in a royal guest room and read about the Cavendish family.

  • Claire told Shade about seeing her own corpse during her advancement, and Shade suggested that she had reconciled with a part of herself.
  • Claire returned Calamity Cards: The Last Fatu Person to Shade, then embraced and kissed him as they celebrated her advancement; Stella arrived and witnessed them.
  • Shade returned to Tobesk with Dorothy, and Galina advised him to meet her nephew in his usual clothes rather than bring Little Mia.
  • Galina and Tifa escorted Shade to Yodel Palace, where he waited in a distinguished guest room before his scheduled meeting with Larus III.
  • Shade rejected the idea of becoming king, then read Glorious Bloodline: The Cavendish Royal Family while waiting.

Ch. 3781With Larus III

Shade waited at Yodel Palace, where Queen Diana visited him before King Larus III summoned him to discuss his relationship with Galina and its implications for the kingdom. Larus III accepted Shade as Galina’s fiancé and urged him to maintain his correspondence with Princess Margaret, while Shade left with royal wedding customs in mind.

  • Queen Diana visited Shade with her daughters and encouraged them to treat him like an elder, while Shade agreed to visit Yodel Palace more often.
  • Larus III asked Shade about marrying Galina, and Shade said they had discussed an engagement but had not set a suitable time.
  • Shade told Larus III he hoped to stay in Tobesk and continue his work, while the King offered him a viscountcy and a military logistics post if war began.
  • Larus III asked whether Shade still corresponded with Princess Margaret, and Shade confirmed that they did; the King told him to preserve that connection.
  • Larus III discussed royal wedding customs with Shade, and the meeting confirmed Shade’s status as Galina’s fiancé.

Ch. 3782The Restless Night at Yodel Palace

Shade and Larus III were forced to flee the king’s study when assassins attacked Yodel Palace, but a palace attendant betrayed them in the secret passage. Shade stopped one attacker’s time and helped Larus III survive the ambush, leaving the king to ensure no witnesses could expose what happened.

  • Assassins bombed Larus III’s study window and entered, but Red-robed Eunuch Attendants shot them before Shade and the king escaped through a secret passage.
  • A traitorous attendant named Luke shot the tall, thin attendant and aimed his gun at Larus III, blaming the king for his sister’s death.
  • A black-clothed assassin arrived and raised his gun at Larus III, while Shade stepped in front of the king.
  • Shade caught the assassin’s bullet after stopping his time, and Larus III shot Luke through the forehead.
  • Shade shot the time-stopped assassin after time resumed, and Larus III killed the wounded attendant to prevent him from revealing their conversation.

Ch. 3783The King's Life and Death

Shade used the Power of Fate to let Larus III die briefly and then revive him, thwarting an assassination wish tied to Mr. Snake. After the King survived, Shade returned to No. 6 and learned that Wilundell was safe, though the assassination was likely to have wider political consequences.

  • Shade suspected the black bullet and the assassin's words were connected to Mr. Snake, so he made Larus III wear his blessed pendant and staged the King's death with Puppet Manipulation.
  • Shade revived Larus III with the White Ring's Revival Fate, and the King survived with the bullet lodged in his heart muscle.
  • Megan told Dorothy that The Church had discovered The Tyranny Club's wish for the King to die, while Leisha reported that the assassins had been eliminated.
  • Leisha later told Dorothy that Larus III was recovering, and Luvia concluded that the cultists' wish had come true because the King had died once before Shade revived him.
  • Shade returned to No. 6, where Dorothy embraced him, and he told Luvia that he had intervened and that the King would keep his secret.
  • Shade told Leisha that Galina had asked them to watch the delegations on Fatumonst Island, and Leisha said Larus III was awake but would need surgery to remove the bullet.

Ch. 3784Events of the Past

After Shade helped stop the assassination attempt on Larus III, he learned from Long-Haired Luvia that the king had often died in the Past and that the attack was not destined. Back in Tobesk, Shade prepared to travel to the Snow Mountain and asked Dorothy not to attempt Soul Fusion with Leisha again.

  • Leisha worried that The Tyranny Club might ask Mr. Snake to arrange another assassination, but Luvia said the snake's power had limits and warned that Lion Ryan could still be in danger.
  • Shade visited Long-Haired Luvia in the Doomsday Dream and learned that Larus III usually died before Fated Story in the Past, while the assassination was not destined to occur.
  • Long-Haired Luvia explained that Claire Reinhart's corpse had come from beyond spacetime, and Shade told her he had met the God of Mist.
  • Luvia discussed her Rings of Fate and former High-Ring Words of Sublimation, while Shade said he would handle the coming divine threats and revealed his concern about what he had seen after falling.
  • At breakfast, Shade explained that he could return to Yodel Palace if the Church sought to question him, and Dorothy offered to accompany him to the Snow Mountain.
  • Shade asked Dorothy to promise she would not attempt primitive Soul Fusion with Leisha again.

Ch. 3785Hatred and an Introduction

Shade and the Witches pursued their work on Fatumonst Snow Mountain, forging Fate rings and investigating the growing Doomsday Dream regions while The Church sought a way to make fate-infused bullets. Shade left Miss Eden with a lead about an Angel in Huntington, as the island’s crisis and preparations to oppose the Snake continued.

  • Dorothy and Leisha explained that Luke Weaver hated Larus III because he blamed the king for failing to discipline Prince Sachs Cavendish, whose reckless riding had caused Weaver’s sister’s death.
  • Shade learned Director Anlos’s pay had been suspended after Military Intelligence Section Six failed to prevent the palace assassination, though Anlos remained in charge of the investigation for now.
  • Shade’s allies forged more Fate rings, while two new Twilight regions appeared and one killed more than ten Fatu People before Shade entered and eliminated the monsters within.
  • Miss Eden showed Shade an assassin’s bullet infused with fragments of the Fate of Destruction, and Shade agreed to have the Witches forge Fate Bullets for The Church in exchange for an antique and a curved arc per forging.
  • Miss Eden asked Shade to introduce her to the Angel who had appeared during the War of the Lustful, and Shade directed her to seek rumors of the Goddess in the Lake in Huntington, Kasonlik.

Ch. 3786The Dragon's Goodwill

Shade arranged for Miss Eden to meet Claire, then helped the Church respond to a massive Before the Doomsday twilight scene threatening Carbang City. As the Chosen Ones restrained the scene, a Silver Dragon named Scroll Wing met Shade and offered Dragon Island’s goodwill.

  • Shade arranged for Miss Eden to meet Claire, and Claire embraced and kissed him after asking how the Fatu People should repay their debts.
  • Lady White warned Winnie that a vast Before the Doomsday scene would appear in Carbang City, and the Church organized an urgent evacuation.
  • Shade recruited the Guardians of the Earth, who joined Emilia and Iluna in restraining the scene as the city evacuated.
  • Shade and Sivie watched the Chosen Ones contain the twilight scene while Ellie saw the world beyond Fatumonst Island for the first time.
  • Scroll Wing arrived on the rooftop, explained Dragon Island had sought Shade since the Battle of Moon Bay, and offered him the dragons’ goodwill.

Ch. 3787Dragon Scale Amulet and the White Snake's Invitation

After the crisis in Carbang City, Shade learned a powerful Dragon secret art and joined Stella and Claire on their way to meet Lady White about the Seventh Act of the Fated Story. As Stella wondered who would become the Chosen of Fate, the snow showed her only a reassuring white.

  • Shade accepted a Dragon secret-art scroll from Scroll Wing, the Silver Dragon, and learned that Dragon Scale Amulets could let him or others cast his shield Thaumaturgies.
  • Shade and Sivie returned to Fatumonst Island, where the Great Witches worried about the coming acts of the Fated Story after Carbang City was devastated.
  • A white-haired woman with Snake Eye arrived at Snow Mountain Hall as the Snow Mountain Guardian's incarnation and invited the candidates possessing Serpent's Shedding to discuss the Seventh Act.
  • Shade decided that he and Claire would attend Lady White's meeting with Stella, and he forged special bullets before they departed.
  • Claire flew Stella and Shade toward Peak of Fate, teasing Stella about Shade before encouraging her to do her best in the Fated Story.
  • Stella doubted she would become the Chosen of Fate, then saw only pure white in the falling snow and wondered whether Lady White would be the final Chosen.

Ch. 3788Rules of the Seventh Act

Shade and the other candidates followed Lady White into the Ruins of Fate, where she revealed the rules for the Seventh Act: a common person connected to each candidate would play a card game using the candidates’ Serpent’s Sheddings. The chapter ended as Lady White named the five players, including the First Prince Samuel Anjou, and exposed the candidates’ unexpected connections to them.

  • Shade, Claire, and Stella arrived at the mountaintop, where the Seer Association, the Misfortune Order, and The All-Number-One Society had gathered.
  • Lady White appeared as a White Snake, announced that the performance had reached its final act, and opened a cloud staircase to the Ruins of Fate.
  • Shade led the group along the Path of Atonement and into the Temple, where they saw new murals depicting recent events in the Seven-act story.
  • Lady White explained that the Seventh Act would be a Rod Card game played by five common people connected to the candidates, with the candidates’ Serpent’s Sheddings serving as cards.
  • Lady White named Sophie Reinhart, Shade Hamilton, Gerard Rogers, Jenny Elfort, and Samuel Anjou as the five players’ connections, startling Claire, the Father, and the gathered representatives.

Ch. 3789Random Fate

Lady White announced the rules, rewards, and final preparations for the Seventh Act, then Shade, Claire, and Stella examined the temple’s exchanges and a clue to the next story. Shade left the temple with an idea about a destroyed seal, while the trio began exploring the ruins.

  • Lady White announced that the Seventh Act would begin within the week, revealed its rewards, and gave the candidates an hour to prepare on the island.
  • Shade, Claire, and Stella stayed in the temple while the other candidates hurried outside to search the ruins.
  • Shade and Stella discovered new exchanges for random Bent Arcs and Rings of Fate, but Shade decided not to trade away their existing fates.
  • Shade used a Snake Eye to view a mural, saw moonlit runes on a cliff destroyed by a beam of light, and watched the gemstone crack into an ordinary stone.
  • Shade, Claire, and Stella left the temple to explore the ruins, and Claire asked Shade to lead the way.

Ch. 3790Prince and Lover

Shade searched the ruins with Claire and Stella, learned more about the people tied to the Seventh Act, and told Mr. Mortis the Mermaid had left the island. Back at the Temple, he discussed fighting Mr. Snake and offered to cooperate with the Misfortune Order in exchange for information about the Blood Spirit School and Hermons.

  • Shade led Claire and Stella to the Ancient Witch’s stone slab, where Claire encouraged Stella to keep working toward becoming a Chosen One.
  • Mr. Mortis told Shade that Gerard Rogers, his childhood companion and a Delarion baron, would be brought to the island as a card player connected to Stella.
  • Shade warned Mr. Mortis that the Mermaid had been near the island but had left, and Mr. Mortis said he hoped to gain a ring before the Seventh Act ended.
  • At the Temple, Shade told the gathered candidates that The Church planned to forge a counterfeit Ring of Fate from two Bent Arcs to prepare for the final battle against Mr. Snake.
  • Katerin Schwartz proposed that the Misfortune Order and Shade cooperate against Mr. Snake, and Shade demanded information about the Blood Spirit School and Hermons in return.

Ch. 3791The Snake That Longs to Molt

Shade learned more about The Truth Society’s bargain and Mr. Snake’s power, then Lady White warned that Mr. Snake planned to molt into a new Destiny before the final battle. She gave Shade a scale that could lead him to the First Fire and other valuable things after the seal broke, as the candidates prepared for the Seventh Act.

  • The Father agreed to trade information about The Truth Society and revealed its deal to receive the most expensive item on the Temple’s exchange list; he also passed along Miss Pawo’s invitation to meet Shade in the Temple of Fate.
  • Lady White explained that Mr. Snake held the left Ouroboros Eye and that the sacred artifact’s right eye could interfere with its Interpretation of Fate.
  • After the meeting ended, Shade, Claire, Stella, and Lady White returned to Kael-Todd Town, where Lady White said the Upper Spring would appear during the Seventh Act’s Card Game.
  • Lady White gave Shade a white snake scale that would help him reach the hidden place of the First Fire and take something valuable after Mr. Snake broke the seal.
  • Lady White warned that Mr. Snake intended to molt into the Destiny of the Sixth Epoch’s march toward the end, making the final battle much harder if it succeeded.

Ch. 3792Invitation from the Seer Association

Shade prepared for the Seer Association’s arrival and left Fatumonst Island’s affairs in Luvia and Sivie’s hands while they investigated several clues. The Association then met him at Yodel Palace with the Church and Duchess Galina, and Vice President Mark hinted that they wanted him to compete for an ancient card.

  • Shade asked Sivie and Luvia to coordinate affairs on Fatumonst Island and assigned investigations into the Ouroboros Eye, the golden snake rune, and the other card players.
  • Shade returned to Tobesk, where Galina hoped to spend the day with him, but Tifa summoned him to Yodel Palace at the King’s request.
  • Shade recounted the Monday assassination attempt to Dawn Church Ring Arcanists, concealing the power he had displayed after leaving the Secret Passage.
  • Bishop Owen, the Seer Association’s local leaders, and Duchess Galina joined Shade at the palace to discuss the Association’s business.
  • Vice President Mark reminded Shade about the delayed special Rhodes card, then asked whether he would compete in another game to obtain a much older card.
