• Shade reassured Iluna that she would have a greater role in future stories, and she kissed him on the rainy rooftop.
• The Sun Church sent Shade a letter of thanks and invited further communication, and Angelina wrote its reply.
• At the post-battle meeting, Shade and the Witches discussed the Saint Alliance's documents, captured Bloodkin, and remaining members who had fled into hiding.
• Sivie showed Shade an unusual book of divine descent records that Claire had found near the Infant-Holding Holy Mother's wrecked coffin.
