Although she had nearly fainted the instant the god pushed open the door and appeared, Miss Teresa still moved her lips to greet the god.
Shade and Miss Violet naturally had not forgotten this either. After paying their respects, Shade removed the waterskin he carried with him. Due to the special nature of the water from Lake of Cherub, it could not be turned into a toy using Toy Making. After facing the Intellect Angel, Shade had filled the waterskin, and to ensure there would be enough, he had brought all the lake water with him:
"God, this is the offering of the mortals Shade Hamilton, Violet Marshall, and Schultz Theresa. May wisdom flow endlessly like water."
He pulled out the stopper, and the spell Control Water Flow drew the water from the waterskin. Miss Violet and Miss Teresa, standing behind Shade, immediately turned their gazes toward it. Although Shade had explained the source of the water while climbing the tower, this was still their first time seeing the offering.
Back at Lake of Cherub, the water had been completely indistinguishable from ordinary water. But now, drawn out in the form of a water serpent by the spell, it glittered upon the oppressive, gloomy Lake Heart Island. Gradually, it was assimilated by the light radiating from the god and revealed a sacred radiance.
Shade had merely drawn forth the first stream of water before it was no longer under his control. The god caused all the water from Lake of Cherub to flow out, circling around Him like a sacred ribbon.
A moment later, the flowing water contracted inward, branding silver marks upon the god's robe.
The robe had originally been a bluish color close to white, and the added silver marks did not look out of place at all.
