The traces of God's Radiance and First Fire Embers on Shade's body finally reached their peak frequency as they flickered across his Petrified Skin. At the same time, the Spirit and Elements overflowing from absorbing part of the Crying Angel's power reached their limit. The stone covering Shade's body and the petrified wings behind him exploded, and the unharmed Shade stepped out from within.
Outlander, the Miracle Spirit Rune "wrath" has been linked to the thaumaturgy—Great Sin Chains.
Unlike "Sloth," acquired from Sin Mansion and requiring a ritual from the knowledge of Great Sins to link to a thaumaturgy, wrath had always been a power naturally compatible with Shade himself. The thaumaturgy Great Sin Chains was thus linked to his fourth Spirit Rune. Shade could feel that this thaumaturgy, obtained by devouring the flesh of desire, had become even stronger.
The Crying Angel statue, which had nearly merged with Shade just moments ago, finally separated completely from his body. At the cost of losing part of its essence, it broke free from Shade's body and swiftly slid into the distant darkness.
Their separation also meant that portion of power now wholly belonged to Shade. A brand-new thaumaturgy was born, and the voice at his ear chuckled softly:
Outlander, you have devoured part of the Crying Angel's power. Your charm has increased, your resistance to the sacred has increased, and your physical strength has greatly increased. Outlander, you have obtained the thaumaturgy—Calm Stance. When you are in a state of anger, maintain the gesture of covering your face with both hands to turn into a stone statue and blend perfectly into the surroundings. In this state, no negative condition can affect you, and your defense is greatly enhanced.
