Of course, before officially setting out deeper into the island, Shade held the two newly acquired Youthful Immortality Leaves before his eyes. The thaumaturgies bestowed by the leaves could be obtained directly without any learning ritual, and thus Shade acquired the Silver Moon thaumaturgy "Light of Imprisonment" and the spell "Flying Blossom Spell."
When Shade lowered the leaves, Iluna had him try out his new powers so he could use them more easily later.
"Light of Imprisonment" required no Spellcasting Materials. Iluna watched as Shade drew a circle in the air with his right hand. After a silver trail of light remained suspended in the air, his hand passed through the circle and struck at the horse behind Iluna from afar:
"Light of Imprisonment!"
The circle of light threaded itself onto Shade's arm. As his arm struck forward, it turned into five silver rings that flew toward the Bone Horse, encircling its head, neck, body, and tail.

Iluna said, then had Shade cast the spell on her. This time, Shade used the least possible power, but three glowing, spinning rings still flew out and bound Iluna's neck, hands, and feet.
"In this state, I can't move or cast spells, but speaking isn't affected."
Iluna said, then frowned and tried to break free. With a crisp crack, all three rings shattered like glass, leaving only silver motes to be carried away by the wind:
"The restraining effect is inferior to your Great Sin Chains."
"But it casts faster, reaches farther, automatically tracks its target, and can be used on multiple people."
Shade was quite satisfied with the new thaumaturgy. He even planned to try it on Little Mia once he got home. This way, he would not have to worry about
