Shade fell into thought:
"Be prepared, right? No problem."
"Of course, it's not just you who gained something. I gained something too."
Doctor Schneider said with a smile:
"I've already finished dealing with the corrupted gardener's corpse you brought. Since we have time, how about we take a look at the dead man's memories together? We might find something. Of course, this won't take too long. Once we're done, we can have lunch together and discuss the preparations for dealing with 'Gothe.'"
Entering the memories of a corpse corrupted by a demon was not difficult. Doctor Schneider brought over a copper basin, placed it over the fire in the fireplace, and waited for the water to boil. Then he took out two glass bottles, each containing a pure black eyeball. He handed one to Shade, and the two of them each dripped their blood into their bottles.
The eyeballs in the bottles immediately began to spin. Once the color of the blood faded, they poured the eyeballs and all the slick liquid in the bottles into the boiling basin together. At once, pale green smoke with a faint stench spread out, quickly filling the entire room.
The two found places to lie down. Doctor Schneider reclined in the imposing leather chair behind his desk, while Shade lay on the sofa. When Little Mia saw Shade lie down, she immediately jumped onto his chest and looked down at him as he slowly closed his eyes and entered the dream.
Shade and Doctor Schneider had entered more than one dream together, so they were quite experienced. But this time, the moment he realized he was dreaming, Shade immediately sensed that something was wrong with the scene around him.
He could feel cold in the dream, and above him was a pitch-black sky.
