Miss Danist listened very seriously to Shade's account of the six generations of Edwardzes. After pondering for quite a while, she finally spoke:
"The Edwardz Family did not actually rule that island for very long. The first lord was the Klein Edwards you mentioned. He lived over three hundred years ago. It is difficult to find any reliable account of his identity, or even exact historical records describing his life. But some vague evidence suggests that he was a Ring Arcanist."
"So the disaster in Green Lake Town and the Edwardz Family's past both originated with this man?"
Shade asked. Miss Danist nodded.
"After hearing the information you learned, that is a reasonable deduction. Shade, you are even more outstanding than I thought. I conducted so many investigations without finding any definite information about members of the Edwardz Family, yet you managed it."
"I'm also interested in that Sun, Moon, and Stars pattern. Besides, making a trip to Green Lake is not particularly difficult. The next problem is simply how to find every surviving Edwardz. I can approach the Follen Brothers."
"I have some very interesting information here as well."

"That Sun, Moon, and Stars pattern closely resembles the design on the back of Rhodes Cards, so I contacted the Seer Association to ask about the meaning of the card backs. But they said the pattern was not original; it was copied from an existing design."
