That night, Luvia did not leave 6 Saint Derain Square. As Shade fell asleep holding the evenly breathing girl, he had wondered whether he might see Long-Haired Luvia and discuss recent events with her. But as expected, she did not appear while he was unable to enter the Past World Epoch.

Early wednesday morning, urged on by Mia, Shade yawned and shuffled downstairs in his slippers to fetch the newspaper and goat milk. The moment he opened the door, he saw Iluna crossing the square through a flock of pigeons as lazy and gluttonous as Mia, approaching from the other side.

The morning mist veiled the city, and the air was heavy with moisture. It was just past six, and the sun had only just risen. The brown-haired girl wore a brown ladies' coat over a long black dress, waving to Shade in greeting:

"Oh, Shade, you haven't left yet, have you? I have new information about that key."

Iluna smiled and hurried over. Shade invited her inside before they continued:

"Perfect timing. I have something to tell you too. Come in. You haven't had breakfast yet, right? Eat with us. Luvia is here too."

The seventeen-year-old girl nodded naturally, then smiled and greeted Mia, who was crouched on the stairs staring at the goat milk in Shade's hand. The cat politely went "meow~," then stood up, flicked its tail, and ran upstairs.

As Iluna followed Shade upstairs, Luvia was washing up in the washroom. Hearing Iluna's voice, she even stuck her head out to greet her.

Luvia then went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast, leaving Shade and Iluna waiting by the dining table. Once seated, Iluna surveyed the morning "scenery" of 6 Saint Derain Square, then looked toward Luvia's silhouette in the kitchen:
