The ink-black sword mark cleaved straight into the massive head. After the starry blade mark burst out from the back of its skull, the head split into two where it stood and dispersed into the darkness amid increasingly piercing howls.
But soon, as the darkness churned, another enormous head emerged from within it. Shade, having landed, raised his sword and charged forward again. This battle would likely continue for quite some time.
"Do you understand Ancient A'Fuwens? Come help."
Luvia tugged on Emilia's sleeve and handed her a piece of chalk glowing with blue fluorescence, then briefly explained how the runes were to be arranged. The Elf Girl crouched down to write the runes on the floor, though her pointed ears could still hear the repeated booming impacts and sounds of battle coming from outside.
"Friendly Neighbor, like the Cursed Letter and Glimmer Ghost Shadow you encountered before, is fundamentally a powerful curse born from people's resentment and fear. Theoretically, as long as intelligent life exists and is capable of fear, curse-type relics that have already come into being are difficult to fully contain. Luvia continued to instruct her softly:
