Shade looked toward the source of the cat's cries and saw firelight emerge from the black fog. Little Mia then came running over, using the protrusions and decorations on the armor's surface to leap straight from the ground onto Shade's shoulder.

Shade did not even need to investigate to know that this was Little Mia. The flames on her tail, which gave off no heat at all, were far too unusual to be imitated by mere illusions.

"Why did you come over here? Where is Ms. Knight? Which direction did you come from just now?"

Shade asked softly. The cat answered with another "Meow~," but since she clearly could not understand his words, she did not point the way.

However, the strange flames on her tail seemed capable of dispersing the black fog. So Shade held the cat and walked in the direction she had come from.

The black fog distorted space. Though the church was clearly not large, Shade felt as though he had walked a hundred steps before seeing light ahead. As he continued forward, a sudden burst of white light forced him to close his eyes.

When he adjusted to the brightness and opened his eyes, he found himself carrying Little Mia in a corridor carpeted in red, its walls painted gold and decorated with Crystal Chandeliers and antique oil paintings.

The corridor reminded Shade of Yodel Palace, though it also resembled the residence of some other great noble.

As for himself, he was still wearing that set of Golden Armor. Along with five other armored knights, he stood in two lines behind Ms. Knight, who walked at the front carrying a red soft cushion with a green crystal placed upon it.

Ms. Knight was still wearing her armor as well, though she had removed her helmet.
