The black dragon's head, utterly disproportionate to a human body, hit the ground. Yet the headless body did not die. Wings sprouted from its back as it sped into the sky. After a whistle, a new head wriggled its way out of the neck stump. The other two Ring Arcanists, who also had dragon wings, appeared in the air as well, each holding one of those strange detectors.
"Eye of Edwardz."
Shade blinked in the alley. The man whose head had regrown showed signs of modification in his cheeks, heart, and some internal organs. The other two had been modified in their left and right arms respectively, as well as their hearts and lungs.
The Ring Arcanist with Black Dragon Scale on his face was at the seventh ring, while the other two were both Eighth Ring Arcanists:

As he thought that, the Eighth Ring Arcanist whose lungs and heart had been modified took a deep breath and gathered power. Spirit and Elements transformed into energy in his lungs, and then he opened his mouth in midair and blasted it down at Shade.
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
Holding the Higgs Dragon Head Stone, Shade raised his head and sprayed a beam of moonlight upward. The moonlight crushed the Dragon Roar in the air, then vaporized nearly half of that Eighth Ring Arcanist's body.
The other two hurriedly scattered. Shade did not charge the Higgs Dragon Head Stone again, instead taking a step back and vanishing into the mist under the cover of illusion.
Dragon wings beat, and what had been a siege abruptly changed. They hovered back-to-back, constantly scanning their surroundings, but the strange thick fog severely obstructed even an Eighth Ring Arcanist's vision.
"Watch out!"
