The puzzled Illustrious Miss came out of the Captain's Room onto the deck, then saw in astonishment that an endless expanse of sea now surrounded the Sacrificial Ground, while the Sacrificial Ground itself seemed to have become a small island suspended above the ocean:
"The world has been flooded by the sea. It's a Mystic Lock!"
The sun that had hung high overhead in the afternoon had somehow moved to the east. The rising sun illuminated the ruins of the Gray Stone Sacrificial Ground, which had just endured a great battle; it illuminated the rolling sea, and also the ruins of Moon Bay City "slumbering" beneath the sea.
The people in the Sacrificial Ground raised their heads and looked towards the "God Summoner" floating above it with a long staff in hand. He spread his arms as though embracing the newborn sun. As brilliant sunlight fell upon him, countless rainbow-colored bubbles were carried by the faintly chilly sea breeze towards the entire world.
"Mystic Lock—Mermaid Princess."
Outlander, the Sixth Epoch does not permit such large-scale reversal of time.
The period during which ordinary Time Keys are forbidden from use has increased by half a month.
To bring back that set of Armor of Light Lion, Shade had already added one month to the Time Key's period of forbidden use. Adding another half month was therefore no great matter.
Or rather, reversing half a day for an entire city at the cost of merely being unable to use the Time Key for half a month was truly a negligible price.
Thus, the rainbow-colored bubbles drifting from Shade's body formed a rainbow bridge over the glittering waters.
