The unfamiliar elf in the sea of flowers clearly resembled the mysterious sage from stories who pointed "warriors" or "knights" in the right direction. Everything she said also shaped that impression, yet Shade simply could not summon any feeling of "respect" toward the elf before him.
Judging by her appearance, she was certainly older than Emilia, the underage elf who was just over fifty. But Shade could not estimate her exact age. Once elves reached adulthood, their appearance remained unchanged for a very long time.
Still, he at least understood that she wished to end this conversation. After asking about the black market and what to watch out for when entering the city, he politely took his leave.
Carefully placing the flower wreath on his head, Shade's pupils contracted in an instant. He truly felt as though he could hear the forest breathing. The path out of this place naturally appeared in his heart, and he was astonished both by the sensation and by the fact that the mysterious Elf Miss could casually create such an item.
He turned to look once more at the moonlit sea of flowers in the forest, only to find that the elf had already turned away. Surrounded by silver-blue blossoms, she raised her head to look at the Moon.
The night wind stirred her golden hair and robes. She seemed somewhat lonely. The longer Shade looked at her back, the more familiar it seemed. From the front, the unfamiliar elf had appeared elegant, tranquil, and beautiful, but from behind, she was clearly... Just as he was about to say something else, the elf, still facing away from him, spoke:
"Then farewell, Outlander. Once you have retrieved my goods, come again to this sea of flowers and find me." (Elvish)
"Farewell. Sweet dreams." (Ancient Elvish)
