Vanessa took another step toward Shade, forcing him from sitting at the bedside into a half-reclining position.

The Witch looked down at her young, handsome lover, her face flushing even redder. She removed the glowing silver ring and placed it in her palm, holding it up for Shade to see:

"Galina shared some of the spells from your 'Pink Book' with me a while ago. If I remember correctly, you've learned the Traceless Piercing Spell, haven't you?"

This was a spell that required spatial talent to learn. Its prototype was the advanced spatial thaumaturgy, Leap Spear, which allowed a thrown weapon to pass directly through a solid object and strike whatever lay behind it. For instance, if Shade threw a Thunder Spear and an enemy summoned an Earth Wall to block it, this spell could make the Thunder Spear leap past the Earth Wall.

The Traceless Piercing Spell was a simplified version of Leap Spear. It chiefly focused on using a ring-shaped object to precisely pass through the surface of a human body. As it was spatial magic, it would not actually leave a wound, and it even preserved the sensation of the body being penetrated by the ring-shaped object.

"How about it? Want to give it a try?"

"Is that really necessary?"

Shade asked as he looked at the ring being held before him, but the Witch looming over him would not accept that. Her golden eyes brimmed with excitement:

"This is our Love Token. I have to wear it. No matter where you choose to make me wear it, Shade~"
