"So what if I'm cowardly? Compared to this world, we are utterly insignificant. Isn't it only right to fear death?"

Shade did not waste time on such nonsense again.

"What was the method you obtained for detecting a 'Time Traveler'?"

"An acorn. Among the relics left behind by that Fifth-Ring Arcanist of the Nature Church was a roasted acorn. After I ate it, I could sense, within a certain area nearby for one month, people who did not belong to this time.

"I waited for an entire month without finding anyone. Only after drinking a bottle of Oak's Lucky Potion bought from the Creekwood Town black market did I finally find him on the last day!"

Shade had drunk that potion before as well. It was originally a specialty of the Hermits of the Forest, so it was hardly strange for it to have found its way into the Local Black Market.

She looked toward the surroundings shrouded in black mist.

"We spent a week figuring out the complicated story of the Kaming Family, but now it seems that was merely one corner of the 'Creekwood Town story'—and very likely the least important corner."

Seeing her face grow paler, Shade spoke with concern.

"End the spell first."

"What should we do with this Father?"

Artist Miss asked again.

"Erasing his memory will cause The Church to come knocking immediately.
