Shade discovered that Vanessa was actually quite good at cooking, and he guessed that Galina's recent habit of getting up early had something to do with Vanessa staying over at his place.
As the family sat around the dining table, enjoying the second-to-last breakfast of Harvest Moon amid the sound of rain, Vanessa looked at the unusually energetic Shade and sighed with a smile:
"I used to know only that you were busy during the day. Now that I've come to your side, it seems you're busy at night too. No wonder Miss Feliana said we hadn't taken good enough care of you."
She seemed not to realize that ever since arriving in Tobesk, she had appeared here every night except Saturday, which was precisely why Shade had been so busy at night lately.
"You may not have been well taken care of during the day, but you've certainly been very well taken care of at night."
The Duchess teased him as well. Aside from Siris, whose face was slightly red, the other girls covered their mouths and laughed.
"Shade, how did things go yesterday? Has the Cumming Family's matter been resolved?"
